Dot painting - Tips & Tricks ๐ŸŽจ

04:02
Have your ever thought about using dot painting to decorate an object? It's a lot of fun to do and the results are always stunning! ๐Ÿ˜ Since everyone knows how to place a dot, instead of making this a regular tutorial video, I'm sharing & demonstrating some of my tips & tricks. This is very easy and suitable for many ages. Even if you don't have a steady hand, you can still do this if you follow tip #6! One side note is that this is a time consuming technique, especially when you're adding a lot of smaller dots. To give you an idea: it took me about 42 hours to complete this watering can. Just keep that in mind if you have a deadline. It usually takes (a lot) longer than you're expecting ๐Ÿ˜‰. THANK YOU for watching! Feel free to leave me a COMMENT. 08:16
Learn how to grow your own chicory! You don't even need to have a garden or special tools. It's very easy to do, you'll get many crops out of just a few roots and it's fun to watch them grow. Kids will love getting involved in this too and it's educational. They'll probably be more willing to try the vegetables they've seen grow as well. :-) If you don't have kids, but you have bunnies or horses, they'll be happy too. Different hair pins: pros, cons and how to use them

05:31
U shaped pins, Amish pins, scroos, ridged U shaped pins, bobby pins,... there are so many pins you can use in your hair. It's no surprise a lot of people get very confused. So I'll show you some different hair pins, talk a little bit about the pros and cons and show you how I use them to secure a bun. Keep in mind these are just my personal experiences and opinions with my particular hair type. I should have mentioned that I did try the Amish pins in mini buns as well, but they still slide out immediately. #longhairstyles #longhair * Music: Smooth Sailing (with Guitar) by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/ * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! 5 Ways to do a Chinese bun - long hair updo with hair stick

07:14
In this tutorial I will show you 5 different ways to do a Chinese bun updo using a hair stick. This type of updo is suitable for half long, long and very long hair. Note: This video was posted yesterday and worked perfectly, but somehow it broke, so I had to upload it again. All variations of the updo are very quick and easy to do, yet look sophisticated and elegant. - The Chinese bun - The reversed Chinese bun - Jadestorm's Chinese bun - Reversed Jadestorm's Chinese bun - Chinese figure 8 bun Every variation is shown low and high, so it's actually 10 different looks! #longhairstyles #longhair * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! DIY Mother's Day gift - scented flower candle ๐Ÿ’

03:32
It's almost Mother's Day and what better way to thank mom for everything she does than with a beautiful handmade gift? So I decided to make a (scented) candle with real flowers! It's beautiful, original, decorative and I'm sure your mom will love that you made it yourself! Of course you can burn this candle safely as well. Materials needed: - glass - scented candle - (small) fresh flowers - cooking plate - metal pot with spout - wooden spoon - left over white or light colored candles If your candles aren't perfectly clean you'll also need: - another metal pot - metal strainer - paper tissue NOTE: For more detailed information on candle making, please check my other videos on the subject: http://bit.do/candlemaking TIP: The parts of the flowers that stick out stay fresh looking in my experience, because most of the flower is covered in wax. But if you want to or if you're using very delicate flowers, you can also spray those flower tips with a bit of hair spray or even dip your entire flower in wax before you arrange it in the glass. My hair sticks & forks collection

05:37
These are the hair sticks and hair forks I currently wear. I also included a few decorative chopsticks I like to wear in my hair. I know some of you might be interested in WHERE I got them, but I bought most of them many years ago from different locations and none of those stores/sellers I remember seem to exist anymore. Some of the more fancy ones are from Maidens Treasures, they're now called Barefoot Maiden (barefootmaiden.com) and I also purchased a few at Claire's (claires.com) * Music: Smooth Sailing (with Guitar) by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/ * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! Bubble Painting tutorial - Personalized Mugs

08:27
In this video I'm showing you how to make your own colorful bubble mugs! This is an easy craft that only requires a few materials: - light colored mugs - porcelain paint: I'm using Marabu Ceramica ceramic & porcelain paints. The Ceramica line is still available in some stores, but Marabu apparently changed it to a new line called Marabu Porcelain, which is porcelain paint that you don't have to bake: https://amzn.to/2IThEQN - dishwashing soap - straws - water - pipette: https://amzn.to/2ITW2DP - stir sticks (I cut off the cotton parts of cotton buds) - plastic/paper to protect your work surface - paper towel - small tray * Note about food safety using these paints.* Since the paints don't specifically say they're food safe, but the brand did demonstrate them on edges of plates etc, I decided to reach out to the company and ask them directly if the paints are safe if you drink hot and cold drinks from a mug where the entire outside part of the mug is painted & baked. I also asked if it would be safe to paint a plate, bake it and serve cake from it. Their reply is as I expected, so keep these guidelines in mind when using the paints: "We recommend our Marabu Porcelain paints to be used only on the outer rims of plates and the outsides of cups and bowls. For tableware designs with Marabu Porcelain we recommend you do not paint on cutting areas, inner surfaces or glass rims as the painted parts might get off because of the mechanical abrasion by knives, spoons, teeth etc. Btw, Marabu Ceramica is now Marabu Porcelain.Despite the fact that our Marabu Porcelain is water based and non-toxic, certain very strict rules apply for paints for direct food contact. As these certifications comprise a vast number of chemical analyses and many factors to be monitored, we cannot certify our paint as suitable for direct food contact. But again, they are safe to be used if you leave the above mentioned parts out. New long hair styles: a fairy bun and two fairy tails

03:44
These hair styles are particularly well suited for very long hair and don't require hair elastics or hair pins (except for two bobby pins to tuck in the ends). I only just came up with this bun yesterday but absolutely LOVE it already. The other hair style I've come up with years ago. I hope you like them! #longhairstyles #longhair * Note: the only difference between the lighter picture of the bun taken outside and how it looks after the tutorial is that I started with fairy tails that were closer together in the outside picture. When you place them a little further apart - like I did in the tutorial - you can see the details of the bun better. * Music: Easy Lemon 60 Second by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1200077 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! Bleeding tissue/crepe paper technique

02:38
In this video I'm going to show you a fun and simple way to add color to an object without painting it, using tissue paper or crรชpe paper. If you're wondering what kind of materials you can stain, think of things like paper, wood, ceramics, canvas, textile etcetera. It's good to know that colored tissue paper stains less than crepe paper and darker colors always stain more than lighter colors. You'll need: - colored tissue paper or crepe paper (I'm using both) - an object you want to stain - a spray bottle filled with water - a bowl of water - a paint or foam brush - scissors - optional: gloves THANK YOU for watching! DIY kids room letter decorations ๐Ÿง’

04:59
In this tutorial I'm showing you how to make letter decorations as a DIY wall decor for kids rooms. Even if you don't have kids yourself, these also make great gifts! They're fun to make and they'll add a playful touch to any boy or girl's bedroom or playroom. I made a 3D letter covered in Paw Patrol and Cars crayons and I also made a 3D letter into a street, with cool trucks driving on it. And... the road markings glow in the dark! Side note: I saw similar ideas on Pinterest, but I'm not sure who came up with the idea first, so I can't give credit to a specific person. And of course I added my own personal touch to them as well! Materials: - Wooden letter: http://amzn.to/2EqivYh (worldwide link) or http://bit.do/HoutenLetter (link Belgium & The Netherlands) - Cardboard letter: http://amzn.to/2Et1k8g For the crayons letter: - fun crayons - strong glue, I like to use the Bison universal stick - Stanley knife For the cars letter: - gesso: http://amzn.to/2Gz0Hem (worldwide link) or http://bit.do/Gesso (link Belgium & The Netherlands) - paint roller & tray - grey enamel paint: http://amzn.to/2GxtTCo - a paintbrush - a measuring triangle - a pencil - very strong glue (I like to use the Bison universal stick) - glow in the dark paint: http://amzn.to/2DYrdiL - toy trucks/cars. These fun DIY sand candles - made with real sand - are incredibly easy to make and they're super summery! So I'm going to show you how to make them. They're a perfect little project for sunny days and they'll make those evenings outside extra cosy. I like mine to be very sandy, but you can just as easily rub a little bit of the sand off to get a more subtle sandy look and to reveal more of the color of the candle. Needed: - (white) sand - bassin - water - objects to use as a shape for the molds - cooking plate - cooking pot - wooden spoon - left over candles - candle wick - skewers Be sure to check out my other candle making videos! http://bit.do/candlemaking THANK YOU for watching! Reusable produce bags (Flip & Tumble) review

04:24
Buy these reusable produce bags at https://amzn.to/2uVIhCt ! I purchased these bags to reduce the waste that comes from those flimsy plastic bags you put your fruits and vegetables in at the supermarket. I wanted a solution that would be better for the environment, but still practical for both myself and the cashiers. So here's my honest review after trying these out in different supermarkets in Belgium and The Netherlands and at the local market! I bought the Flip & Tumble produce bags, because you can see through them very well (which will ensure you'll have no problems at checkout) and because of their size. You can also buy this product on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2uVIhCtH (Affiliate link) These bags are lightweight, machine washable and very strong. They have a drawstring and different colored tags on them. They come in a pack of 5 bags. If you were wondering how much a bag weighs, it's 15 gr. So, sure they way a little more than those flimsy plastic bags, but the price difference at checkout is still negligible. THANK YOU for watching! Feel free to leave me a COMMENT. Apple cider vinegar rinse: beautiful long hair & healthy scalp

03:40
How to use apple cider vinegar on your hair. For beautiful and healthy long hair and a healthy scalp! Removes build up and dandruff, prevents split ends and breakage. Restores the Ph balance of the hair and makes the hair shiny and smooth. Prevents frizz. Most people like to do the rinse as a final rinse after washing, but I prefer doing it before washing as I feel you're going to strip your hair from the products you just used when you use it afterwards. #longhair #longhaircare * Music: The Youtube Audio Library Smooth Sailing (with Guitar) by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/ * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! DIY Christmas window decorations

07:22
Do you want to decorate your windows for the Holidays without making them dirty or having to buy window ornaments? I'll show you an incredibly easy and inexpensive way to make your own AND you can reuse them over and over again. The best part is that they are unique, since you are the creator. :) What you'll need: * 3D liner / puffy paint (one or more colors) * acetate / plastic folder * optional: template(s) How to: - Make a drawing/outline with the 3D liner/puffy paint onto the plastic. - Let dry overnight. - The thicker you work, the firmer the end result, but the longer you'll have to let it dry. - Peel off carefully when completely dry. - Stick onto your windows/mirrors & enjoy! :) ,.-~*ยดยจยฏยจ`*ยท~-.ยธ-(_Happy_Holidays_)-,.-~*ยดยจยฏยจ`*ยท~-.ยธ Note: metallic paints will stick more to the plastic, making it much more difficult to peel off, so try those at your own risk. They didn't work well for me. I found that matte ones work best. -NEW- I've created an instructable with all the steps & pictures from this video. It's available as a file to read or even download for future reference: http://www.instructables.com/id/Reusable-puffy-paint-Christmas-window-decorations/ * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! 5 of my 'unusual' beauty secrets!

12:12
I'm going to let you in on 5 of my beauty secrets. The things I love most are not standard products most people use, but I hope this makes the video even more interesting and they work really well for me. Keep in mind that everyone responds differently to products, so what might work wonders for one person might not work well for another person. My 5 secret beauty products are: AMLA OIL (online, indian or moroccan store) Remarks: It can darken your hair, so be careful if you have light hair and you don't want it to affect your color. If you sleep with it, put a towel on your pillow because it will stain your pillow. I think it doesn't smell nice at all, so I don't go out with the stuff on my hair. ALUM (drugstore, supermarket) Remarks: It stops you from smelling but doesn't stop you from sweating. It does cause a partial closing of the pores, so it should make you sweat less, but it will not block everything like an antiperspirant. This is actually a lot better for you because there is a reason why you sweat and blocking that might make you feel prettier but it's not better for your health. KESHAM SHAMPOO POWDER (ayurvedic stores, health food stores or online) Remarks : The first time I tried it I didn't like it, it did nothing special for my hair so I didn't use it again, until maybe a year later. And then it had an amazing effect on my hair and now I loooove it. So, don't judge after just one try or you'll might miss out on something potentially great. RHASSOUL (moroccan stores, health food stores or online) Remarks: Your skin might feel a little tight afterwards, in that case just use a little bit of moisturizer if necessary. 5. DISTILLED/DEMINERALISED WATER (drugstore, supermarket) Remarks : You can do the spraying (also called 'misting') every day, but you do not need to trap the water with the leave in every day. * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch! This is a video of me opening the birthday present I bought myself: a purple 'Alice' coat of Poizen Industries (www.poizenclothing.com). * subtitles for the video are available in English and Dutch! * ondertiteling voor deze video is beschikbaar in het Engels en Nederlands! DIY bird feeders ๐Ÿฆ

03:53
In this video I'm showing you how to make fun, easy, inexpensive, all natural and most of all DELICIOUS treats for the wild birds in your garden. Because the birds can use a little help from us to help them get through those colder seasons! I'm using coconut halves, vegetal frying fat, wild/garden bird seed mix, pinecones and bird peanut butter in this video. Please do not use regular peanut butter to feed the birds, as that is not safe nor healthy for them. You don't want to harm them, but help them! You can find bird peanut butter in garden centers and other places where they sell wild bird food. Coconut halves are great, because when you use them in spring the birds don't just eat what's in them, but they also use some of the fibers of the coconut itself as nesting material. In winter, you can make the content extra fatty. And what's also great is that you can reuse these over and over. You can buy a coconut at the supermarket or buy a coconut half prefilled with bird food and then refill it yourself once it's empty. THANK YOU for watching! Feel free to leave me a COMMENT. Halloween hair style for long hair

04:43
Quick, easy and fun way to style long and very long hair for Halloween! This Halloween hair tutorial is great for all ages. All eyes will be on you and nobody will need a torch if you're around. lol. This hair style will go well with many costumes! You could be a sorceress, witch, fairy,... In fact: You don't even need a costume, because the hair is spectacular on its own too. Note: Make sure you use battery operated LED lights (that don't get hot). If you don't have leg warmers, a big hair donut or a bunch of thick socks with the tips cut off will work as well. This is why it's also called a donut bun or sock bun. #halloween #hair #tutorial #hairstyle THANK YOU for watching! Feel free to leave me a COMMENT. How to make Christmas tree ornaments using buttons and pipe cleaners ๐ŸŽ„

05:21
A few years ago I had a lot of spare buttons and I did al kinds of creative things with them. After stumbling upon some pipe cleaners while cleaning my studio, the idea for these Christmas tree ornaments was born and I've been making them ever since. What you will need for this craft: - regular buttons (two holes or four holes) in different sizes and colors - thin pipe cleaners - scissors Optional (decoration): - ribbon - glitter glue or glue & loose glitter - bows - decorative spray paint - ... Tip: make the loop at the top bigger if you want it to fit directly over your tree branch, smaller (like mine) if you are going to use an ornament hook. This is a fun and easy craft for the whole family! It's quick, safe, clean and the ornaments will look fantastic in your Christmas tree! They also make fun little gifts around the holidays. Remember... the only limitation is your imagination! Have fun :-) Side note: The panel on the right in the beginning and the end of the video is completely covered with buttons too, don't know if you noticed! ;-) * HD - Watch the video in High Definition by clicking the second 'wheel' icon in the right down bar of the video and changing the quality to the highest number :-) * subtitles - This video has subtitles in English and Dutch!
