Speedpaint - STARRY NIGHT -Vincent Van Gogh

Get inspired and paint your own version step by step, visit: www.vangogh.bargue.net “The sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night.” ― Haruki Murakami, Dance Dance Dance Vincent van Gogh is one of the greatest Dutch painter after Rembrandt. He remained poor and virtually unknown throughout his life, but produced great art. After the people of Arles signed a petition saying that van Gogh was dangerous, he decided to move to the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. On May 8, 1889. In November 1889, he was invited to exhibit his paintings in Brussels. He sent six paintings, including "Starry Night." This painting is based on his direct observations as well as his imagination, memories, and emotions. The steeple of the church, for example, resembles those common in his native Holland. The whirling forms in the sky, on the other hand, match published astronomical observations of clouds of dust and gas known as nebulae. At once balanced and expressive, the composition is structured by his ordered placement of the cypress, steeple, and central nebulae, while his countless short brushstrokes and thickly applied paint set its surface in roiling motion. Such a combination of visual contrasts was generated by an artist who found beauty and interest in the night, which, for him, was “much more alive and richly colored than the day.”

free Louvre drawing lesson: the drunken Satyr step by step

The drunken Satyr or Barberini Faun Download the PDF and follow the instructions in the Video https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7-EluwZn1eiQVVmbnRlUk5GcFk/edit?usp=sharing The Barberini Faun was carved by a unknown Hellenistic sculptor in the late third or early second century bc it can be found as a high quality copy of in the Louvre. The sculpture was first documented in a receipt for its restoration in 1628, when it already belonged to the Pope's nephew, Cardinal Francesco Barberini, that's also the reason for the second name of the statue. The statue was found heavily damaged. The historian Procopius recorded that during the siege of Rome in 537 the defenders had hurled down upon the Goths the statues adorning Hadrian's Mausoleum, and it was speculated that the place of discovery and the statue's condition suggested that it had been such a projectile. Many viewers were disturbed by the wantonly spread legs focus attention on his genitals. Because of this, the statue has acquired a reputation as an example of erotic art and was reproduced on a Nymphenburg porcelain service in the 1830s. Nudity in Greek art was nothing new; however, the blatant sexuality of this piece makes it most interesting to twentieth-century eyes. Also a copy by sculptor Eugène-Louis Lequesne was given to France in 1846. It is now located in the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA). A gilded copy is included among many other replicas of classical sculptures that adorn the grand cascade that descends from the back of Peter the Great's summer palace, Peterhof, outside of St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Bargue code - effective drawing method revealed

02:09
Your artistic journey to mastery begins. Join us on special programs and workshops to improve your art in the quickest possible way and to approach your own visions in the most efficient way. Charles Bargue contribution to the art world is remembered for his "Cours de dessin"; it is perhaps the most influential classical drawing courses. His work was published between 1866 and 1871 by Goupil& Cie. Containing 197 individual sheets, guiding students from classical plaster casts, to the study of great master drawings and finally directing them to draw from the live model. Many artists followed this course, even those who developed a different artistic way started with this foundation. Even Vincent van Gogh, who copied the complete set in 1880/1881, and (at least a part of it) again in 1890 began his study's based on Bargue. The Bargue Drawing Course is a collection which will interest artists, art students, art historians, and lovers and collectors of drawings. It is providing masterful lithographs of subjects for copying by drawing students before they attempt drawing from life or nature. The Drawing Course is divided into three sections. The first consists of plates drawn after classical antique casts. Parts of the body are studied one by one in order of difficulty and are completed with full figures. The second section is dedicated to the great school of painting with drawings by Renaissance and modern masters. The third part is adding drawings after nude male models to complete the course. These drawings are original inventions by Bargue. Slowly and step by step the student is introduced continually to more complex figures in the close observing and recording of nature. Even from the professional point of view the solutions by Bargue are still delightful and elegant, they are still the best finger exercise before attempting great work. For those who are in search of an entrance to the artistic world like art students or historians a practical and progressive introduction to realistic of late 19th century figure drawing is revealed. This is probably the genius of this work that reliance upon tradition by the use of antique sculptures as models. It is not to impose a classical style, but as an aid in seeing the structure of the human body with method. Here is perhaps the receipt in a convergence of Classicism and Realism. Strange is the missing of numerical proportional charts, perspective boxes or geometrical schemata to memorize in this course. All the techniques and schemata are developed out of nature and for the object in front of the artist. This is the secret of the intuitive of this studying approach, draw what you see and get instant results, without abstract theory. The lithographs in them self are beautiful, the success of close attention and careful observation, a great attempt to arrange the beauty of natural figures and light in the various appearances of the human body. This is what is influences, touches and move us during the careful study of this work. The transformation of Bargue live from a lithographer of drawings for a popular market in comic, sentimental and soft-porn subjects into a spectacular painter of single figures and intimate scenes. His mastery of precious details that always remain observation and never became self-conscious virtuosity, of color schemes that unified his composition in exquisite tonal harmonies is encouraging the student to start also this journey. One thing Bargue is achieving with his work it is the appetite to become excellent. Viste us on www.bargue.net or www.nuartis.com Dein eigener Weg zur Kunst beginnt bei http//nuartis.de

Speedpaint - fusion of Van Gogh: STARRY NIGHT with Munch: THE SCREAM

06:39
Edvard Munch SCREAM is a outstanding painting and Vincent van Gogh Starry Night is one of the greatest Dutch paintings. Let´s fuse them! For my Book Cover TRAIN TO STARS I fuse them to one painting. Here is the speed drawing of the preparation design. Van Gogh’s life always inspired me. He sent six paintings, including "Starry Night." Van Goghs story is about outstanding work challenged by the dark side of life. A far greater gift is hidden in Van Gogh’s life than just his art. Knowing his suffering and challenges, we ask ourselves. How could someone under such challenging circumstances bring such greatness forward? Is there a pattern or even a METHOD? Van Gogh was lucky to instinctively using this METHOD. Perhaps you have been in the situation that was rock bottom. Instinctively you knew that to overcome this situation, you would have to set your potentials free. Your instincts are right; there is a way, a METHOD. You are living in a world of possibilities. In today’s world the biggest advantage is to be able to set your potential free. Van Gogh inspired me for my book that will give your instincts the METHOD to do this. It will show you how to: Free yourself, find out what you really want and what you can offer the world that no one else can. Unleash your creative potential and foster originality. Embrace “negative” (failure, pessimism, insecurity and uncertainty) as path to success. Use Passion and insistence to get from ordinary to extraordinary. Overcome what holds back to set free potential to create something great. It works! Module by module was tested and improved on my students. Simple and impressive like all Van Gogh’s work. An idea that will helped millions of creatives. The problem is becoming the path to solution. The METHOD is using and is fuelled by obstacles and the dark side of life. To be fuelled by challenge and struggle, what an opportunity! It is like to discover a car engine run by pollution. Get inspired and paint your own version step by step, visit: www.vangogh.bargue.net

"Mona Lisa is the only beauty who went through history and retained her reputation." -Will Rogers Own timeless beauty, become the master. Most likely the painting’s subject is Lisa Gherardini, whose wealthy—and presumably adoring—husband Francesco Del Giocondo commissioned the work. This explains the less prevalent title for this painting, La Gioconda. The name Mona Lisa (or Monna Lisa, as the Italians prefer) roughly translates to "My Lady Lisa."

Weine Malen - Loire: Sancerre die Sonne im Glas.

10:38
Guter Geschmack ist malbar - Sancerre eine Studie in Gelbtönen. Der richtige Zeitpunkt der Ernte und das Spiel mit dem Klima ist die hohe Kunst der Winzer am Sancerre. Myth buster - Vincent and the Doctor

00:55
Art is all about imagination. One of the series that is feeding imagination like no other is surly dr who. In the episode "Vincent and the Doctor" from 2010. The Doctor and his companion Amy Pond go back in time to meet van Gogh. Investigating together a monster only van Gogh can see, they discover that Provence has been plagued by a Krafayis alien. Doctor and companion work with van Gogh to defeat the monster, but in their attempt to have van Gogh realise his legacy through bringing him to the future they ultimately realise that not all of time can be rewritten and there are some evils which are out of the Doctor's reach. The idea to portray van Gogh as truthfully as a popular BBC series can and interest the TV audience into this outstanding artist instead of being cruel by writing jokes about his madness, is a quality of this episode. This short film is of course skipping all the false facts like that the church is in reality in Auvers-sur-Oise north of Paris instead in the Provence and so on to encourage imagination and to go out and find more. find your own artistic way at http//nuartis.com

Speedpaint / Draw - Jean-Léon Gérôme - Moorish Bath - antislavery and woman’s rights in art

11:21
Speedpaint Moorish Bath (1870) Jean-Léon Gérôme (French, 1824–1904) How outstanding is Gerom capturing the light on the pale nude in this painting. It may be that she is a slave from the far reaches of the Ottoman Empire but there is something magical about her. The ambiance of this Islamic bathhouse with sun-dappled interior is breath taking. It is easy to love this painting. Jean-Léon Gérôme is a outstanding French painter in the style now known as academicism. He is the most important painters from this academic period. His excellent range of oeuvre included Greek Orientalism, bringing the academic painting tradition to an artistic peak. This painting is a great invitation to revisit the antislavery and woman’s rights causes from 1830s. Despite paintings like this the reality was that many who stand for equal terms had to endure the disapproval of society, family and friends. We should honour the courage that for many that supported that movement had to face physical danger. It was possibal through art to take a different approach in sharing a subconscious vision of slavery as a moral evil that could not be justified even when the path was that of beauty. It is a long process, to free the minds completely from the racial prejudice so ingrained society and condemn slavery and receive blacks socially on equal terms. Art is an exceptional and transcendent medium to approach such topics. see orginal in Museum of Fine Arts, Boston http://www.mfa.org/collections/object/moorish-bath-32124 https://www.facebook.com/mfaboston

tying the world like Leonardo - DA VINCI'S Mindset for Artists and Creative's

04:25
systems thinking - Artists are made, not born. A almost unlimited potential of creativity is gifted to you. All it takes to uncover your own hidden abilities is to follow the ideas of the greatest artist. Leonardo da Vinci's paintings are like Windows. It is like you see just a part of something that is bigger. Looking at St John the Baptist in Louvre gives you the feeling that he is pointing to and was able to see something that never could fit in the frame. Even now with all our technologies and multimedia we are not able to represent it like some of his paintings did. It is like they would embrace opposites and paradox. They are showing us a world in which the duality could be united. Known and unknown, Light and shadow, ugly and beauty are necessary to make a work complete. His work are reminding me of the Ying Yang symbol in which you can always find the essence of one thing in the opposite. The white part of the symbol has it white hart in their black half. They could not exist without each other and you find the essence at the core of the opposite side. Light is only possible through shadow, there is always a connection and union between what we today would call duality. Realize that everything connects to everything else” – Leonardo DaVinci

If you want to understand impressionism you have to understand Cezanne. Paul (January 19, 1839 - October 22, 1906) was a French artist and Post-Impressionist painter whose work laid the foundations of the transition from the 19th century conception of artistic endeavour to a new and radically different world of art in the 20th century. The line attributed to both Matisse and Picasso that Cezanne "is the father of us all" cannot be easily dismissed. Soundtrack DVD Painting Paul Gauguin Les Alyscamps

02:22
DVD music for Painting Paul Gauguin Les Alyscamps It happened in October 1888 as Gauguin arrived in Arles where his friend Vincent Van Gogh had invited him to come and work. Before the tragic events the two artists had been writing to each other for several months. First it was about their attempts to produce a non-naturalist landscape. This was a painting that was fished before the tragedy but it foretells with its flaming autumnal colours the heat that will lead to the explosion. It is probably one of the first canvases Gauguin made in Arles. You can discover the Roman necropolis in Arles. The melancholic expression is all that remained of the necropolis, a avenues of cypresses and a few empty sarcophagi. Gauguin focused the painting on the domed tower and part of the building of the Romanesque church of St Honorat and two women dressed as Arlesiennes and a man are walking towards us. Gauguin preferred more exotic weman not Arlesiennes never the less named this painting Landscape or Three Graces with the Temple of Venus. This painting is characteristic of Gauguin's Synthetism juxtaposed masses and hatching. You can see clearly the influence of Cézanne. This painting is about transcribing reality without imitating the real world. The light is a subjective expression and decorative interpretation of this motive. This painting is nearly the opposit of the tormented compositions that Van Gogh made out of these motives. A clash of the two artist was just a matter of time.

harmony of opposites like Leonardo - DA VINCI'S Mindset for Artists and Creative's

03:54
balance between science and art - Artists are made, not born. A almost unlimited potential of creativity is gifted to you. All it takes to uncover your own hidden abilities is to follow the ideas of the greatest artist. What is making Leonardo da Vinci's work so magnificent is the harmony and balance, as it would be possible to bring the whole world together in one artwork. His art is about the including of the essential, to deliver the most self-contained outcome is possible. Leonardo was an artist and a scientist at the same time in a way that today perhaps would not be possible any more. He use it advantage that art, science and belief was back then not divided. Most of the knowledge was a mixture of what survived from the Greek knowledge in interpretation of Mystic and Christianity. For his curious mind this interweaving of opposite prospective and explanations must have been a play field. Perhaps this mixture was giving him the possibility to use science to power his art, and art to power his science. Study the science of art and the art of science. Leonardo
