www.arieslaptop.in [email protected] MOSFET is a field-effect transistor in which there is a thin layer of silicon oxide between the gate and the channel. MOSFET used in Desktop and Laptop motherboards there are two different types of MOSFET N-Channel MOSFET. P-Channel MOSFET. N-Channel MOSFET Used in Desktop motherboards while in Laptops (motherboard) both N-Channel and P-Channel MOSFET are used. Ok! Enough talk about introducing MOSFET lets Do the testing Process and see which MOSFET is working one and which one is non-working. During testing I will show you which one is P-Channel and which one is N-Channel MOSFET. To test a MOSFET we will need a Multimeter and some working and non-working MOSFET. Mulitimeter-with-MOSFET Ok as we can see MOSFET consist of 3(three) pins 1) Gate 2) Drain 3) Source Gate-Drain-Source-MOSFET Now set your Multimeter to (Continuity Beeper) and Black Probe to Common Ground and Red Probe to Ohms(Everything but Ammeter). Touch Both Red Probe and Black Probe and if your hear a beep sound than you are ready for testing MOSFET. First we will check if this MOSFET is N-Channel or P-Channel. N-Channel MOSFET: Connect Black Probe to the Drain and Red Probe to the Source of MOSFET and if you get any Value on screen of Multimeter than this MOSFET is N-Channel MOSFET.If you did not get any value than better try second one. P-Channel MOSFET: Connect Red Probe to Drain and Black Probe to Source and if you get any Value than its P-Channel MOSFET. So now we know how to find P-Channel and N-Channel MOSFET so its time to test if its in working condition or not. N-channel Working MOSFET: Now Pick a N-channel MOSFET and connect Black Probe to Drain and Red Probe to Gate if you don’t see any value than its working MOSFET.If you see some Value than its a (short MOSFET, a leaked MOSFET or not a MOSFET at all). As its working MOSFET lets charge this MOSFET, connect Black Probe to Drain and touch Red Probe for few seconds to Gate and than Touch Red Probe To Source while Black Probe should stay Connected to Drain and you will here a beep which shows that your MOSFET is charged and in working condition.Remember to do the same test again you have to release to charge from MOSFET you can do this by Holding a MOSFET for few seconds between you fingers or just connect Black Probe to all three Pins at same time. P-Channel Working MOSFET: If you have a P-Channel MOSFET than connect Red Probe to Drain and Black Probe to Gate and if you don’t see any value than its a working P-Channel MOSFET but if you see some value than probably this MOSFET is Short or leaked MOSFET. To charge a working P-Channel MOSFET connect Red Probe to the Drain and touch Black Probe to Gate for few seconds and bring back the Black Probe to Source and you will hear a beep sound which means your P-Channel MOSFET is charged and good to go.

How not to test for mains voltage, and why you should never use one of these neon screwdriver testing efforts for anything. These devices are unreliable, can indicate power when there is none, and in certain circumstances not illuminate at all, even though 240V or more is present. The neon indicator is difficult to see in bright light such as outside. The entire safety of the device depends on a small resistor inside, which if failed will result in the full mains voltage appearing on the end cap where you place your finger. This example has a large hole in the end cap, so that water, dirt and dust can easily enter and bridge across the resistor. The tube outputs 5.7 watts of audio per the spec. sheet but we have had it to 18 watts before. This caused the tube to fail after 20 minutes. The input was over 23 watts of DC. The output was over 300 VAC RF. We were feeding it 400 VDC at the time as we do now. We have not been able to figure out why it drew so much power to output 18 watts RF. The new tube and L. C. tanks output 9.6 watts RF and draw 13 watts DC. This is within the spec. of 19.5 watts DC input. The spec. sheet calls out max of 300 VDC on the plate, but guitar amp. makers design some of their amps to push the EL84 to 400 VDC. The Grid tank circuit (C1 and L1) 17 turns of # 20 AWG magnet wire on a 1/2 inch ID PVC water pipe. C1 is a Johnson M style 15 pf variable air capacitor. Use an APC 18pf if needed. http://www.radiodaze.com/category/418.aspx A plate L. C. tank replaced the L2 and R4 parasitic filter. Toutes les étapes de la réparation de mon lave-linge qui était en NDE (near death experience… ^^) Elle vise ceux et celles qui ont parfois peur de se lancer dans ce genre de petite réparation par peur de l'inconnu, des mauvaises surprises, … Hormis le démontage du panneau arrière (qques vis), tout le reste est filmé exhaustivement. C'est plus facile de se rendre compte ainsi. Les symptomes : voyants du tableau de bord clignotants non stop. Au début cela durait qques secondes, mais depuis qques temps il fallait débrancher longuement la prise avant usage pour que les leds se stabilisent, jusqu'au jour où il ne s'alluma plus. *DISCLAIMER* :) Avant toute manipulation avec du matériel électrique, il faut DÉBRANCHER la prise et prendre les précautions nécessaires. Pour cette fois, j'ai bcp détaillé les étapes car ça s'adresse à ceux qui n'ont vraiment pas l'exp ni l'envie d'essayer, histoire de montrer que "ça n'est pas si compliqué que ça en à l'air". Si je peux le faire, vous pouvez aussi ! le problème des condensateurs s'applique à une grande partie de l'électro-ménager & matériel informatique Article de blog lié à cette vidéo à venir sur le thème "obsolescence proprammée vs. obsolescence prématurée", car actu on peut lire un peu tout et surtout n'importe quoi sur le sujet, gros mélange avec ces notions :P La zik de fond est aussi du DIY :) Un vieux titre mode brouillon créé sous Logic ya qques années et recyclé/réarrangé fait très bien l'affaire pour mes vids sur le thème DIY dont celle-ci ^^
