China Using Cargo Ship as Propaganda

18:51
The Chinese have been using a cargo ship that is fill of soybeans from the US as a propaganda piece to try to embarrass Donald Trump. The ships sailed from the US before the tariff from China took effect. The ship then was not able to make port and there are reasons why and it has to do with a 25% tariff that the Chinese and polls on imports of soybeans into their country. Now the Chinese Communist Party’s using as a propaganda to scare US farmers in order to put pressure on Donald Trump. But as I said this is propaganda, see video for more. Tsidkenu Many people that come to view the Sixth Seal News Talk channel are disturbed that I don't show my face. I have explained in the past that thousands upon thousands of YouTube creators do not show their face on their YouTube creations. The main reason I do not share my identity is because of my highly controversial commentary and point of view on today's event and news stories. I'm sure you know other hosts and/or creators on YouTube have been threatened, some have been attacked in public, also some have had hostile actions taken against their families. So, for the safety of myself and my family I will remain in the dark and after all the message that I give on my channel is not about me, it is about the message and my attempt to try to remove the blinders of lies and deception which are mainstream fake media continues to put out on our citizens here in the US and globally. I'm sure many people would have donated to the Sixth Seal News Talk and would have become Patreon supporters on a monthly basic if they could identify what I look like. But, the risk are too high and I will not put myself and/or family in perils. I am not a huge YouTube who can afford bodyguards and protection service 24 seven. And the thing is my commentary can be just as highly controversial as what is being put out by these highly popular YouTubers who have the means and capabilities to keep themselves safe. Even though you're not able to provide funding because of your view towards how I identify myself on my YouTube. Be assured that I appreciate you as a viewer and in a perfect world I would not conceal my face I can assure you. So, thank you for your commentary and thank you for you viewing Sixth Seal News Talk.

China holds missile drills in South China Sea

China holds missile drills in South China Sea SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- South China Sea Arbitration AdriftBEIJING — China’s navy carried out drills in the South China Sea to simulate fending off an aerial attack, state media said yesterday, as the country trades barbs with the United States over responsibility for heightened tension in the disputed waterway. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed concern during a visit to Beijing on Thursday over China’s efforts to militarise the seas. His remarks came after a flurry of US activity in the region, including reports last week that US Air Force B-52 bombers had flown near disputed islands that drew a sharp rebuke from China. China’s navy carried out a simulated missile attack in an unspecified area of the South China Sea using three target drones making flyovers of a ship formation at varying heights, the official army newspaper said. The drills were part of efforts by a training base, also unspecified, to prepare for real-life combat with aerial targets after China’s leadership said some training failed to prepare troops effectively, it added. The United States and China have frequently sparred over who is militarising the South China Sea, with Beijing blaming tension on actions such as the “freedom of navigation” operations by the US navy. Washington says such operations are necessary to counter China’s efforts to limit nautical movement there. A US Navy destroyer sailed through waters claimed by China in May just days after the United States withdrew an invitation to it for a major US hosted naval drill. Critics have said the operations have little impact on Chinese behaviour and are largely symbolic. Pentagon officials have long complained that China has not been candid enough about its rapid military build-up and its use of South China Sea islands to gather intelligence. In addition to China, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam all have competing claims in the ... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chittagong sea port

04:33
Beautiful Chittagong | চট্টগ্রাম | Beautiful Bangladesh | Visit Bangladesh The Port of Chittagong is the largest seaport in Bangladesh, located by the estuary of the Karnaphuli River in Patenga, near the city of Chittagong. It is a deep water seaport dominated by trade in containerized manufactured products (especially garments, jute and jute goods, leather products, fertilizers and seafood), raw materials and to a lesser extent passengers. It is one of the two main sea port of Bangladesh - most of the export and import of the country are handled via this port. Window berthing system was introduced at the seaport on August 6, 2007, enabling the sea port to provide the arrival and departure times of all ships. Two berths at the port terminal are kept in reserve for emergency. In 2011, the port handled 43 million tonnes of cargo and 1.4 million tonnes of containers.[2] The port handled 1.5 million TEUs (twenty equivalent units) containers in 2010-11, up from 1.2 million TEUs in the previous year, according to the CPA Traffic Department. Port of Chittagong is ranked as world's 90th busiest port in the world in 2017. Chittagong (Bengali: চট্টগ্রাম) is a major coastal seaport city and financial centre in southeastern Bangladesh. The Chittagong Metropolitan Area has a population of over 6.5 million, making it the second largest city in the country. The city is located on the banks of the Karnaphuli River between the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the Bay of Bengal. It was a prominent trading centre and hosted the first European colonial enclaves in Bengal, which were operated by the Portuguese in the 16th and 17th centuries. The district was ruled the Sultanate of Bengal, the Kingdom of Mrauk U and the Mughal Empire until the 18th century, at which point it was ceded to the British East India Company. During the Burma Campaign in World War II, the city was also a key base for Allied Forces. Modern Chittagong is a major hub of trade and industry. The Port of Chittagong is the largest international seaport on the eastern seaboard of the Bay of Bengal. The Chittagong Naval Area is the largest base of the Bangladesh Navy. Though despite having a high and growing urban per capita GDP in South Asia and being one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Chittagong is reputed as a relatively clean city, but still confronts substantial logistical and socioeconomic problems যদি আপনার কাছে একটুও ভালো লাগে তবে Like, Comment করবেন এবং বন্ধদের জন্য Share করবেন সবাইকে ধন্যবাদ youtube.com/rubel01674 facebook.com/shrbd rubelfeni.blogspot.com

China installing final segment in world’s longest sea construction project

Another milestone is about to be reached in the world’s longest sea construction project, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). The final segment of its undersea tunnel is finally being installed. This process is the most difficult part of building the main bridge body. Some describe it as "threading a needle under the sea." It is operated by "Zhenhua 30," the world's largest crane ship, manufactured by China. Gwadar Sea Port is the real future of Pakistan-Must Watch

02:35
GWADAR PORT Currently, Pakistan has two main operating international deep-sea ports: Karachi Port and Port Qasim. During the coming years, their capacity expansion programs are unlikely to keep pace with the expected growth in demand, resulting in a need for a third port to fill the gap. In particular, Karachi Port has significant physical limitations and will not be able to grow at the same speed as the national growth in demand over the coming decades. These limitations result mainly from its location, which is within the city of Karachi itself, which has seen very rapid growth over the past years. In the case of Port Qasim, although having a large physical space for expansion, its possible speed of development is hampered by its up-stream location, which is more than 40 km from the open sea, resulting in long turnaround times for visiting ships. This is not a problem for cargoes that are linked to industries located near the port, but it carries cost-disadvantages for cargoes that have origins and destinations elsewhere. Against this background, it was deemed timely to construct and inaugurate a third deep-sea port for Pakistan so as to ensure that national development is not hampered by a lack of national port capacity in the future. Given the expected rapid growth in demand for port capacity, it is likewise important to continue expanding the capacity of Gwadar port over the coming decades. Introducing Gwadar Location Gwadar is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea in the western province of Balochistan. It is about 533 km from Karachi and 120 km from the Iranian border. Gwadar Port is located at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, just outside the Straits of Hormuz, near the key shipping routes in and out of the Persian Gulf. Gwadar District Demography Gwadar district covers a coastal zone. Main towns within this zone are Pasni, Gwadar and Jiwani (near the border with Iran) Estimated population in 2004: 215,000 (Gwadar district) Geographic area – 12.637 sq. km. Population density – 14.7 person per sq.km Coast line – approximately 300 km Population of Gwadar city – estimated 80,000 Land distances from Gwadar Quetta 970 Km Turbat 165 Km Gabd 120 Km Karachi 630 Km Ratodero 892 Km

Sri Lanka signs deal on Hambantota port with China

02:29
Sri Lanka signs deal on Hambantota port with China. Sri Lanka has signed a $1.1bn (£837m) deal with China for the control and development of the southern deep-sea port of Hambantota. The deal had been delayed by several months over concerns that the port could be used by the Chinese military. The government has given assurances that China will run only commercial operations from the port, on the main shipping route between Asia and Europe. Sri Lanka's government says money from the deal will help repay foreign loans. Under the proposal, a state-run Chinese company will have a 99-year lease on the port and about 15,000 acres nearby for an industrial zone. ========================= Learn more about news on Youtube: https://goo.gl/Bvosby Blog:http://dungbaqn.blogspot.com/ Do you have any questions? New Development And Two New Cranes Of Gwadar Sea Port By China Pakistan Economic Corridor || CPEC

02:48
China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (Urdu: پاكستان-چین اقتصادی راہداری‬; also known by the acronym CPEC) is a collection of infrastructure projects that are currently under construction throughout Pakistan. Originally valued at $46 billion, the value of CPEC projects is now worth $62 billion. CPEC is intended to rapidly modernize Pakistani infrastructure and strengthen its economy by the construction of modern transportation networks, numerous energy projects, and special economic zones. On 13 November 2016, CPEC became partly operational when Chinese cargo was transported overland to Gwadar Port for onward maritime shipment to Africa and West Asia. A vast network of highways and railways are to be built under the aegis of CPEC that will span the length and breadth of Pakistan. Inefficiencies stemming from Pakistan's mostly dilapidated transportation network are estimated by the government to cause a loss of 3.55% of the country's annual GDP. Modern transportation networks built under CPEC will link seaports in Gwadar and Karachi with northern Pakistan, as well as points further north in western China and Central Asia. A 1,100 kilometre long motorway will be built between the cities of Karachi and Lahore as part of CPEC, while the Karakoram Highway between Rawalpindi and the Chinese border will be completely reconstructed and overhauled. The Karachi–Peshawar main railway line will also be upgraded to allow for train travel at up to 160 km per hour by December 2019. Pakistan's railway network will also be extended to eventually connect to China's Southern Xinjiang Railway in Kashgar. The estimated $11 billion required to modernise transportation networks will be financed by subsidized concessionary loans. Over $33 billion worth of energy infrastructure are to be constructed by private consortia to help alleviate Pakistan's chronic energy shortages, which regularly amount to over 4,500MW, and have shed an estimated 2–2.5% off Pakistan's annual gross domestic product. Over 10,400MW of energy generating capacity is to be brought online by the end of 2018, with the majority developed as part of CPEC's fast-tracked "Early Harvest" projects. A network of pipelines to transport liquefied natural gas and oil will also be laid as part of the project, including a $2.5 billion pipeline between Gwadar and Nawabshah to eventually transport gas from Iran. Electricity from these projects will primarily be generated from fossil fuels, though hydroelectric and wind-power projects are also included, as is the construction of one of the world's largest solar farms Gwadar 2 New Cranes : https://youtu.be/c7iRkQK2ai4 ˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍˍ Disclaimer : DISCLAIMER: Please don't go out of your way to or hate on anyone I talk about in my videos, this channel is to entertain people and I usually focus on joking about what the people are doing not the individual themselves, please don't go spreading hate it's all for laughs Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Maiden voyage Cosco Shipping Denali arrives to the Port of Felixstowe laden from Singapore 190718

10:22
Cosco Shipping Denali built in June 2018 makes her European debut by making the Port of Felixstowe her first European port. At 366 metres in length and 51.2 metres in breadth she can hold just over 14,500teu. She began her voyage in China before going to Singapore and then through the Suez Canal northbound to Felixstowe. One of Harwich Haven pilots boards the Denali at the Sunk Pilot Station which is around 12 miles out in the North Sea from Felixstowe. Once onboard the pilot radios Harwich VTS to say they were inbound 13.9 metre draught from Singapore, planned port side to Felixstowe Berth 9. VTS replies with the wind on the Landguard, height of tide and any conflicting traffic. After a few moments the pilot requests three tugs for berthing. Two outside, first made fast centre lead aft before the Platter, second starboard quarter then make fast on the main deck but on the quarter and the third inside the harbour to make fast starboard shoulder for a port swing off the berth. Svitzer Kent heads out to be the first tug and makes fast centre lead aft. Shortly after Kent heading out, Svitzer Shotley leaves the tug pontoon to be the quarter tug. The skipper on the Shotley radios the pilot to say they can make fast whenever the crew are ready as the panama lead was right above the tug marker. Finally Svitzer Deben slowly heads to the entrance of the harbour to wait for the Cosco Shipping Denali to round the Beach End before making their approach to make fast on the starboard shoulder. Safely inside the harbour, the pilot uses the Kent as a brake to slow the ship down ready for the swing. To slow down a bit more the pilo runs the main engine astern. The pilot begins to position the tugs for a port swing so the Kent moves out onto the starboard side, Shotley moves out on the starboard quarter to start taking the stern around. Deben pushes up on the starboard shoulder to take the bow around. Almost swung around the Shotley comes in to push her alongside Felixstowe Berth 9. Kent helps straighten her for a parallel berthing onto the fenders. Final tie 6 and 2 with springs first fore and aft then offshore lines.

A New World Record! Major Tunnel of the World's Longest Sea Bridge Completed in China

01:16
The Gongbei Tunnel, a critical project connecting the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao (HKZM) Bridge with Zhuhai city, was completed on Saturday. The tunnel has a six-lane, double-deck road with the world's largest cross-sectional surface. The 2,741-meter-long Gongbei Tunnel is the only road linking the main structure of the HKZM Bridge with the city of Zhuhai, crossing the Gongbei Port of Entry underground. To build a 225 meter-long section of the tunnel's underground part, the engineers excavated a 22 meter-deep space of 336.8 square meters, almost the size of a basketball court. To ensure no interruptions to border crossing operations above ground, an innovative long-distance curved pipe roof formed by soil freezing method was used to allow a double-decked, six-lane tunnel to traverse under the port of entry. The construction team dealt with many challenges to complete the tunnel due to geographic conditions are complicated. The tunnel's completion also marks one major step closer to the official inauguration of the HKZM Bridge. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20180224/8074350.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cctvnewscontent/ Video on Demand: www.cctvplus.com If you are in demand of this video footage, please contact with our business development team via email: [email protected]

China's Aircraft Carrier Liaoning and Its Fleet Return to Qingdao Port

01:10
China's aircraft carrier Liaoning and its fleet returned to a military port in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, on Friday afternoon, after completing their 20-day actual combat training in the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the South China Sea. All the training and relevant missions were conducted according to schedule. The training has helped lift the officers and soldiers' combat capabilities, further deepened the integration of ship and aircraft, optimized the process of command and support and explored into new ways for the integration, systematization and actual combat training of the aircraft carrier and its fleet. During the training, the carrier-borne jet fighters J-15 conducted training in such subjects as carrier-based take-off and landing, air-battle tactics and refueling for each other. "This is a landmark, marking a new starting point for the formation and development of combat capabilities of our aircraft carrier and its fleet. We now fully have the reason to believe that we could go further and fly higher in the near future," said Dai Mingmeng, commander of the carrier-borne air force base. The future training of the aircraft carrier and its fleet will be determined with regard to their progress. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20170113/8040810.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus

China is not even pretending anymore in the South China Sea

China is not even pretending anymore in the South China Sea — it put 400 buildings on one of the disputed islands SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A satellite photo of Subi Reef on March 20. Planet Labs/Handout via REUTERS Satellite imagery shows nearly 400 buildings on one of China's reefs in the South China Sea, and experts say it indicates Beijing might eventually deploy troops there. Using images from DigitalGlobe satellites, the nonprofit Earthrise Media analyzed photos of Subi Reef, which is closer to Vietnam and the Philippines than mainland China, and discovered that a large number of buildings, parade grounds, radar equipment, and even basketball courts had been built since 2014. There were nearly 400 permanent, free-standing buildings, Earthrise's founder, Dan Hammer, told Reuters. Subi has seen the most construction by any country on an island in the South China Sea, the news outlet reported. Subi is China's largest man-made island within the Spratly archipelago. Citing Earthrise data, Reuters reported that Subi has about double the number of buildings on China's next two largest islands in the region. The increase in buildings indicates Subi may one day host a large contingent of People's Liberation Army troops, experts say. Last week, China released footage of H-6K nuclear-capable bombers landing on another island in the South China Sea. Runways and hangars built on Subi could accommodate such bombers. And on Wednesday, the US uninvited China from a military exercise, citing "China's continued militarization of disputed features in the South China Sea." Adm. Philip Davidson, the incoming US Pacific Command chief, told a congressional panel last month that "in short, China is now capable of controlling the South China Sea in all scenarios short of war with the United States." The South China Sea is a highly contentious area with many natural resources that is also one of the world's main shipping corridors. World’s Longest Sea Bridge Opened in China #seabridge

01:48
Here is the video of world’s longest sea bridge. China rocks, doesn't it? Sure they're 'a little bit dodge' still, but their ingenuity and growth is giving the rest of the world a right economic kick in the goolies. Now, not happy with being the home of seven of the world's 10 largest bridges, they've added the planet's largest sea bridge to their motoring repertoire. The 26.4 mile-long Qingdao Haiwan Bridge (how long until people are running a marathon on it?) is almost the length of the channel tunnel (why didn't we just bridge that bad boy?) and is three miles longer than the previous record-holder, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana. Next to the port city of Qingdao in eastern China's Shandong Province it is expected to carry 30,000 cars a day and will cut the commute between Qingdao and the suburb of Huangdao by between 20 and 30 minutes. Worth it, then. It took just four years to knock it together (less than Wembley stadium) and cost £55.5 billion. It still falls way short of the longest bridge in the world. A 102.4 mile rail bridge in, yep, China. Pics and an incredible video courtesy of The Telegraph, below. China has opened the world's longest cross-sea bridge - which stretches five miles further than the distance between Dover and Calais. The Jiaozhou Bay bridge is 26.4 miles long and links China's eastern port city of Qingdao to the offshore island Huangdao. The road bridge, which is 110ft wide and is the longest of its kind, cost nearly £1billion to build. Chinese TV reports said the bridge passed construction appraisals on Monday and it, along with an undersea tunnel, would be opened for traffic today. It took four years to build the bridge, which is supported by more than 5,000 pillars across the bay, and it is almost three miles longer than the previous record-holder - the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana.

China completed its first test of unmanned surface vessels last week. China has begun building a test field for unmanned ships, according to the government-authorized site China Internet Information Center. The Wanshan Marine Test Field, which began construction on Saturday, is being built in the South China Sea off Zhuhai, which is adjacent to Macau, and not far from one of the world’s busiest shipping ports, Hong Kong. Ships will use the 225 square nautical miles to test technology including autonomous steering and obstacle avoidance. The project, which the center reported "will be the largest of its kind in [the] world" and China's "main base" for unmanned ship technology, is a joint initiative of a number of organizations including the local Zhuhai government and Wuhan University of Technology. The university has been developing unmanned ship technology for Chinese authorities for several years. Just a week earlier, China completed its first test of unmanned surface vessels in nearby Dongguan, in the Pearl River Delta. The 22-foot vessel, developed by the Shenzhen Huazhong University of Science and Technology, performed patrols and moved in formation with other unmanned vessels. Eventually, unmanned vessels could allow China to remotely patrol and enforce its territorial claims in the South China Sea. 00:51
Paradip, also spelt Paradeep, is a major seaport town and a designated notified area in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha, India. Paradip Port is one of the Major Ports of India serving the Eastern and Central parts of the country. The Port of Paradip founded by Raghavendra, is the primary port in Odisha, and one of the largest on India's east coast. The port handled over 57 million tonnes of cargo in 2009-2010. Thermal coal and iron ore are major commodities that transit the port. Its hinterland extends to the States of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. The Port mainly deals with bulk cargo apart from other clean cargoes. There is unprecedented growth in the traffic handled at this Port in the last decade. The Port has got ambitious expansion programme to double its capacity to meet the ever increasing demand. Paradip is emerging as a major industrial hub with several upcoming steel plants including a US$12 billion plant being developed by POSCO of South Korea. In addition, alumina refineries, thermal power plants, and a petrochemical complex are under development. Paradip has been identified for development as one of the six major petroleum, chemicals and petrochemical investment regions (PCPIRs) in India, along the lines of Pudong in China, Rotterdam in Europe and Houston in North America. The Paradip PCPIR has identified an investment potential of US $68.84 billion, spread over 284 square kilometres (110 sq mi) in the area. Paradeep which is actually an estuary of the Mahanadi River, is one of the most popular beaches of Orissa. Covered by green forests and adorned with natural creeks and island, the Paradeep beach is a paradise for all marine lovers. Paradeep attracts a number of tourists from all over the world and its shimmering golden beaches and aqua blue waters explain its popularity. The tropical sun and the long stretches of sandy beaches are the perfect place to soak oneself in the organic values of nature. The attractions in Paradeep are not restricted to its beaches alone. There are a number of places that one can visit around Paradeep, these include Temple of Baladeva, Gahirmatha beach, Jhankad and Bhitarkanika National Park. Cuttack and Bhubaneshwar are respectively the nearest railhead and Airport of Paradeep. Reaching Paradeep from any part of Orissa is not a problem as it is well connected by road. The National Highway number 5A passes through Paradeep and links the sea side resort to 3 important tourist spots of the state, Udayagiri, Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri. The roads along the coast line is simply fascinating which makes the experience of traveling to Paradeep as ecstatic as the destination itself. How the Mombasa port works - Kenya's Major sea port located in Mombasa

06:42
Port of Mombasa’s http://www.gendawacargo.com/ vital role in the transport network of East Africa cannot be over emphasized. It serves a region of over 120 million people and handles transit cargo to South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. The vast majority of foodstuffs, raw materials, vehicles, iron, steel and petroleum products that are imported or exported in the region are handled through Mombasa port. Its throughput is growing by as much as 10 per cent each year, so extensive measures have been and are being taken to improve the capacity of the existing infrastructure as well as enhancing transport links to carry the cargo away from the port as quickly as possible. Transit of cargo through Kenya Some 30 per cent of cargo handled is transit cargo and this is expected to grow at an faster rate in the coming years as Kenya’s neighbours develop and improve their economic outlook. Over the five years to 2013, transit trade grew at an average rate of 7.1 per cent, with containers forming most of this growth. In 2013 the Port of Mombasa handled just over 6.6 million tonnes of transit cargo, up from 5 million tonnes in 2010. The transit trade to South Sudan has been growing fast and in 2013 it became the second largest transit country after Uganda. Uganda accounts for about 70 per cent of the transit trade market share. This share is reducing, even though volumes are increasing, because of other growing economies in the region. In 2012 South Sudan had a 12 per cent share, followed by DRC at seven per cent and Rwanda at four per cent. Kenya is attempting to reclaim much of the lost transit trade to Burundi, although its neighbour, Rwanda, is one of the fastest-growing transit destinations. To reflect this and to better serve its customers, the KPA opened a new liaison office in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2013. There is also a liaison office in Kampala and another office was opened in Bujumbura, Burundi on January 31, 2014. The Rwanda office will act as a coordination point for the KPA’s activities in the country. Rwanda transit trade has been growing at a rate of nine per cent each year and in 2012 it accounted for 260,000 tonnes. Transit trade is benefiting from two government measures to improve the flow of cargo from the Port of Mombasa: all cargo clearance activities by various government agencies will now be coordinated by the KPA; and all customs decisions will now be finalised in Mombasa rather than being referred to Nairobi. Transport of cargo from Mombasa port to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan Much of the transit trade is currently transported by road; but with construction under way of a new standard gauge railway linking Mombasa with Nairobi and Kampala – and eventually Rwanda and Burundi – transit times will improve significantly. Closer integration between East African countries in the form of trade agreements and joint co-operation is also helping to strengthen economic links across the region. In recent years Kenya’s neighbours have shown a growing interest in the development of its transport infrastructure; and various leaders have attended opening or ground breaking ceremonies in order to show their support. Reports indicate that the competitiveness of the region is improving. As transport corridors improve efficiency and bureaucracy is reduced, the costs come down. Growth of Kenyan Economy Kenya’s economy is vibrant as a result of widespread investment and development. It is predicted that in five to 10 years the region will be a very different place, with new wealth and a huge increase in trade. The Port of Lamu, under development, will handle a lot of this new trade, especially the predicted oil exports from Uganda and South Sudan. Oil drilling activities in Uganda are increasing and South Sudan needs a more reliable route for its oil exports. All of this will require huge volumes of project cargo. The project to build a new port at Lamu will attract the bulk of this trade, but not for many years until the transport corridor is completed. However, peace in the region is a major determining factor in economic growth. If peace can be maintained, then most barriers to growth are removed. But the troubles in South Sudan in 2014 may have further implications not yet foreseen

Philippines starts upgrading main S. China Sea outpost SUBSCRIBE my channel here: https://goo.gl/F8gn4Z G+ here: https://goo.gl/UzMJVe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Philippines has begun long-delayed repairs to a crumbling runway on the largest of its nine outposts in the South China Sea. Satellite images taken on May 17 and released on Friday by the Washington-based Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (Amti) showed two barges with a grab dredger and a backhoe at the sea-swept end of the 1.3km runway on Thitu island. The runway was supposed to have been repaired as early as April last year, but the plan was stalled by concerns over how China would react. China had, in the past, used its Coast Guard fleet to block efforts by the Philippines to resupply and upgrade its outposts in the Spratly island chain in the southern end of the South China Sea. China claims almost the entire South China Sea, a strategic waterway through which about US$3 trillion (S$4 trillion) worth of sea-borne goods passes every year. Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan also have conflicting claims in the area. The Philippines won a case in 2016 before an international tribunal dismissing China's claims. But President Rodrigo Duterte has opted to set aside this victory. He said last week he would rather not provoke China because that could only lead to "a war we cannot win". Thitu houses about a hundred civilians and a small contingent of soldiers. The island's runway was the first built in the Spratlys. But the sea, over time, has eroded about 100m of its western end. The runway's surface has also become too soft to land on whenever it rains. Ongoing repairs on Thitu are "consistent with our national sovereignty and jurisdiction", Mr Duterte's spokesman Harry Roque said in a text message yesterday. CHINA SHIPPING CELEBRATES A 10 YEARS AT THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES

10:01
SAN PEDRO, Calif. — December 1, 2009 — China Shipping celebrates its 10-year anniversary of service with the Port of Los Angeles this month. The shipping line leases a high-volume container terminal that ranks as one of the Ports busiest operators and is in the midst of a major expansion project that will increase throughput, create thousands of jobs and reduce air emissions. The Port of Los Angeles is proud to have China Shipping as a business partner, said Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Geraldine Knatz, Ph.D. It has been a great privilege for the Port to have one of the industrys leaders provide a direct link between the U.S. West Coast and the Pacific Rim. And with China Shippings expansion project, the company will be well prepared for further growth. China Shipping operates the West Basin Container Terminal at the Port of Los Angeles, located at Berth 100 in San Pedro. The terminal currently features four super post-Panamax cranes, and handles both wheeled and grounded containerized cargo operations, serving the China Shipping, Yang Ming, K-Line, Cosco, Hanjin, Sinotrans, and Zim shipping lines. China Shipping also has a joint venture with a neighboring container terminal at the Port, operated by Yang Ming Shipping Line. China Shipping service with the Port of Los Angeles first started on December 3, 1999, when the M/V Trade Apollo, a 2,500-TEU container ship, called at the Yang Ming Terminal from the Port of Xiamen, China. Today, some of the worlds largest containerships routinely call at the Port of Los Angeles West Basin Container Terminal, where fleet size range from nearly 5,000- to 10,000-TEU loaded vessels. We look back to the path we took over the past decade and celebrate the triumphs, said Chairman Li Shaode of China Shipping. We take pride in our past accomplishments and we want to build on them. We view this anniversary as a new beginning, starting on a new journey hand in hand with our partners. China Shipping is in the midst of a six-year expansion project at the Port of Los Angeles. Upon completion, container terminal capacity will increase to accommodate an annual throughput of 1.5 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalents, or 20-foot containers). The facility will expand to 142 acres of backland and 2,500 feet of wharves served by 10 Post-Panamax cranes. A series of environmental projects are included in the expansion project, including: * The use of Alternative Maritime Power™ (AMP™) by all cargo ships calling at the terminal by 2011. AMP™ eliminates the release of roughly a ton of ship emissions every 24 hours a ship is at berth. China Shipping was the first container terminal in the world to use AMP™ when it opened the West Basin Container Terminal at Berth 100 in 2004. AMP™ is a one-of-a-kind air quality program that focuses on reducing emissions from vessels docked at the Port of Los Angeles. Instead of running on diesel power while at berth, AMP™-equipped ships plug in to shore side electrical power literally an alternative power source for oceangoing vessels. * Use of low-sulfur fuel on container ships within 40 nautical miles of the Port. * One hundred percent compliance with the Ports Vessel Speed Reduction Program (VSRP) for ships transiting within 40 nautical miles of the Port. * Use of alternative-fueled tractors. * Use of electric rubber-tired gantry cranes. * Diesel particulate filters for use on lower-emission switcher locomotives. * A main terminal building constructed to Gold certification-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The China Shipping project also includes several community beautification initiatives, including the development of a new community park in San Pedro (Plaza Park), implementing a Beautification Plan along area corridors and extensive landscaping along Front Street, which runs parallel to the terminal perimeter. Last year, with the help of China Shipping, the Port of Los Angeles imported nearly 4 million TEUs originating from China and Hong Kong a staggering 61% of all imports. China Shipping Group was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Shanghai. The company operates five ship fleets of more than 430 vessels with a total carrying capacity of nearly 500,000 TEUs, which includes container ships, oil tankers, bulk ships, passenger ships, and specialized cargo ships.

INDIA OPEN IRAN SEA ROUTE TO AFGHANISTAN

04:32
India is in talks with Iran to begin interim operations at a port in southeast Iran, officials say, proceeding cautiously on developing the facility at a time when the Trump administration has laid an aggressive new approach toward Tehran. New Delhi plans to send seven shipments of wheat to Afghanistan through Chabahar by the end of January. A first shipment arrived last week from India's western Kandla port, after years of political wrangling with Pakistan, government officials in New Delhi and Kabul said. The wheat will be trucked from Chabahar to western Afghanistan. India is expanding its economic diplomacy in Afghanistan, seeing itself as a regional power. But Pakistan says India is trying to use Afghanistan as a base to destabilise Pakistan, and has long blocked India from conducting bilateral trade with Afghanistan using its territory as transit. The shipments are meant to demonstrate the route's viability, officials said, and the plan is to broaden the cargo flow before the port is fully operational by the end of next year. "Things are moving quite well and as planned," Saurabh Kumar, Indian ambassador to Iran, said in an email. So far, the United States, keen for India to do more to help stabilise Afghanistan through economic and security assistance, has held off public criticism of renewed Indian efforts to develop the Iranian corridor. India's ties with Iran came up during U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's talks in New Delhi last month, and the top U.S. diplomat said America would not stand in the way of projects that help the Iranian people. But he warned that the administration would crack down on financial benefits accruing to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the country's most powerful security entity, blamed for fuelling regional proxy wars. GATEWAY India has framed its involvement in Chabahar's development as primarily about establishing a gateway to Afghanistan, more than Iran itself, Indian officials and a Western diplomatic source said. Washington has not intervened directly in the port's development, but, previously, India drastically cut back its oil imports from Iran, one of its main suppliers, in the face of international sanctions on Tehran for its suspected nuclear programme. "In general, I get the impression that conservative analysts in (Washington) DC have accepted the fact that India will maintain some form of relationship with Iran," said Jeff Smith, a south Asia expert at The Heritage Foundation in Washington. "They recognize that for India, Iran is more about a transport corridor to Afghanistan; that it has no interest in advancing Iran's agenda in the Middle East; and that whatever space India evacuates there will be filled by China." An Indian government source said India Global Ports Ltd (IGPL), a company set up by the government to lead the Chabahar project, had held talks with Iranian authorities to begin interim operations. In August, IGPL applied for permission to establish a company to run the port, the source said. The plan is for IGPL to build two new terminals, one for container vessels and one for multipurpose ships. After some delay, IGPL awarded contracts last month for port construction equipment such as cranes, the source said. Iran, meanwhile, had completed the construction of a jetty. "We are moving slowly, but there is movement on the port development despite U.S.-Iran relations deteriorating," said Meena Singh Roy, an expert on India-Iran ties at the government-funded Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses. importance of chabahar port to india, chabahar port iran map, chabahar port vs gwadar port, chabahar port india, chabahar port current status, chabahar port google map, port made in pakistan by china, sea port iran bandar abbas, cpec pakistan jobs, cpec map, cpec india, cpec completion date, cpec progress, china pakistan economic corridor map, china pakistan economic corridor and its implications, what is cpec short easy,, Disclaimer- This channel is for defence related news worldwide . The development of the Lekki deep sea port is mission critical to the achievement of the important objective of creating Special Economic Zones. It is the commitment of our economic philosophy to private sector leadership of our economic development efforts. The Nigerian Ports Authority and Lagos State Government are the public sector partners in this project. The business of government is to contribute by way of equity where necessary, to projects of this size, but more importantly to create the enabling environment for the private sector to do business. On Thursday, 29 March 2018, I represented President Buhari at the flag off ceremony for the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port. It is expected that the project construction, once completed, will influence the generation of up to about 170,000 direct and indirect new jobs in the economy.
