Comment, like, share this story. Joslynn had a big extended family with step brothers and sisters, step aunts and cousins, grandparents, the whole family tree was full of step relatives. She spent a lot of time with her cousins and step cousins at their house. On one visit she was watching tv with her step-cousins while the adults were all outside grilling barbecue for dinner - two young girls and an older boy. After watching for a while the two young girls went off to play, leaving her alone with the eldest boy. He moved closer to her on the couch and then reached over and kind of put his arm around her. It was a little weird, and he started telling her how he thought she was so cool and so beautiful and things like that. Josylynn was only nine years old at the time and this boy was much older than her. His compliments made her so uncomfortable, and his arm around her too, but she just sat there, not knowing what to do, and simply said, in a weak voice "umm, thanks. I guess." But that wasn't the most uncomfortable or weirdest part. After a few more strange compliments, he actually leaned in and kissed her - a real kiss - not at all for a nine-year-old. And, being only nine, and being rather shy AND very freaked out, she just sat there. She should have said something, or gone right away to an adult and told them what had just happened, but she was scared, confused, and afraid, and, even though she felt weak about it, she didn't do anything or tell anyone. Even after she got home, and after some time had passed, still, she didn't tell her mom about it. She couldn't explain quite why, but she felt like if she told her mother that she would be disgusted by it, that she wouldn't love her anymore and that ultimately she would just blame Joslynn for not doing anything about it right then and there when it happened. So, she just kept it to herself, a secret. But, maybe because she didn't tell her Mom right away, it got harder and harder to find the right time to come clean and let her secret out, and because of that, it continued - that boy kept taking advantage of her in a way that she did not want him to. The next time she went to her step aunt's house she was playing outside with the younger girls, then went inside to use the bathroom. While she was washing her hands that older boy step cousin stepped into the bathroom. She got anxiety as it got a little scary for her because she didn't feel safe. He apologized for barging in, BUT, he didn't leave. In fact, he stepped closer to her, too close, and she had to put her hands up and push against his chest, trying to stop him from coming closer, but he just kept pushing into her. She was scared, and told him "No, I don't want to." But he pushed her hands away, told her to relax, that it was okay, that she wouldn't get in trouble. He closed the door then, and kissed her again, and made her do things with him that she really didn't want to do. But she couldn't stop him, was too scared at that moment. This boy took real advantage of her. This just because one of those true stories she heard about but never wanted to be a part of. Four years have passed and now Joslynn is thirteen years old. Her mother and stepfather have separated, and so, thankfully, she never has to see those step cousins or that awful boy again. Even though she was happy that those terrible things were behind her, the guilt and shame and dark feelings were all still there - like somehow the whole thing was her fault and that she would have to be alone with those feelings her whole life. It was always on her mind though, and so hard to keep secret and buried inside, and so, a few months ago when she was out to lunch with her mother, she decided to tell her mother, to share the secret once and for all. And, even though she was terrified and ashamed and embarrassed, she told her Mom everything that had happened. And her mom supported her in a big way, loving her no matter what. But let's have a look at the consequences of never sleeping again. After one day without sleep, you’ll feel better than ever. The reason for these strange feelings lies in the fact that your brain increases dopamine levels trying to compensate your lack of sleep. However, closer to the end of the day, this happy mood is evaporating. It's strictly "not recommended" to drive in such a state, as it may turn extremely dangerous when you're sleep deprived. After two days without sleep your body will have less and less energy, and you will begin to look pale and a bit ill. What is even worse, your immune system will start to let you down becoming less efficient. Your judgment will get impaired. What is more, the effects of the absence of sleep will be getting worse and worse, and after a short time, the body will begin to shut down. This means that after three sleepless days you'll be unable to function or communicate normally. If you manage to fall asleep on the 11th day, shockingly, there won't be any long-term health effects. This means that after a good and quality sleep lasting about 12 hours, you will be perfectly fine. This doesn't refer to those people who suffer from fatal familial insomnia. Such patients can survive maximum for a year, and a half granted their condition was worsening gradually, and they still managed to sleep from time to time for the first several months of the disease. Use Black out curtains and duct tape to black out your room Melatonin, also know as the sleep hormone, is raised when the sun goes down to indicate to our bodies that it’s time to rest. The problem is street lights, outlets, and all sorts of other unnatural lights confuse this hormone and trick it into thinking it’s still daytime. Do a complete blackout of your room and you will notice a BIG difference in both quality of sleep and ability to get to sleep. Also, computer screens and phone screens confuse melatonin as well. There are nighttime modes on these devices, but it’s always best to just not use them 1 hour before bedtime. Sleeping tip #2. Have A Routine Humans are habitual creatures and creating a systematic routine will improve sleep. Something as simple as brushing your teeth, reading a book for 15 minutes and immediately going to bed is a habit you can build to make your sleep almost automatic at night. Sleeping tip #3. Use Your Bed for Nothing but Sleep and the occasional… physical activity. Goes with the habit thing, but the moment you hit the bed you want the body to recognize that it’s time to fall asleep. So try not to work on your bed or spend anytime on it when you’re not resting. Sleeping tip #4. Use a pillow between or underneath your legs. This will help to maintain the alignment of your back and improve your posture over time. It will also help those of you suffering with lower back pain. There is not perfect way to sleep, but on your back is probably best as it helps to maintain the alignment of your neck and spine. Sleeping tip #5. Napping is great. A short 20-30 minute nap lowers cortisol levels and is very healthy for the body. So bring back a little bit of your childhood and do a quick cat nap if feeling tired mid day! I mean, take a look at his Instagram; it's a storyboard for an Action Bronson verse. According to JRL, "If your life isn't a postcard, it's not worth the stamp.” If you’re not familiar with his social media persona, then you may have seen him in the tabloids. He’s certainly no stranger to making news; in fact, a number of his celebrity spats have been publicized in the New York Times and New York Post. Again, anything but normal. In the words of JRL, “Normal is the ugliest word in the English language. Average is a close second.” For Lee, these words are synonymous with mediocrity, and those who simply accept mediocrity are schmucks – and fall in line to those who stand out. Literally speaking. In this feature, Lee takes us to the airport, which doubles as his home office, and shows us a few “travel tips” in a way only JRL could -- with style, arrogance and, well, hilarity. While these tips might seem to be superficial or petty, if you look a little deeper, the “line” at the airport can be seen as a microcosm of life. A Small Tribute to one of the best Characters in Gaming History! Song- Gravity- Coldplay - Arthur Morgan Arthur Morgan is a cold, brooding outlaw who often resorts to violence and has very few moral qualms about killing. At his worst, Arthur could be extremely ruthless and completely unemphatic to the people he hurts. Despite being capable of committing such violence, Arthur does have a playful side to his personality that comes out around those he is friendly with. He isn’t above joking or employing sarcasm wit his friends. Notably, Arthur was kind and polite to John Marston’s then four year old son, Jack, having a gentle demeanor around the young boy in contrast to his threatening persona. Regarding his religious beliefs, Arthur is likely an Irreligious but has stated he does believe in an afterlife. Despite his ability to commit great acts of violence, Arthur has his own moral code and doesn’t believe in what he deems as unnecessary killing, especially if it endangers himself or those he cares about. Dutch also raised Arthur to believe that revenge is a fruitless endeavor. It seems Arthur strictly believes that violence should be cold, necessary and without feeling, never out of personal enjoyment or without reason. In his own terms, Arthur is aware that he is a “bad man” and clearly understands that his behavior is morally wrong. However, he justifies his own actions as being different from most criminals, as the Van der Linde gang carries a philosophy that Arthur genuinely believed could help people. As time went on, however, he realized this philosophy was a ruse or an “excuse,” as John Marston would later put it. Arthur’s deteriorating loyalty to Dutch caused him to go through an existential crisis. Because Dutch had raised Arthur since he was a child, his philosophy was primarily the only thing Arthur ever believed in up until the gang’s downfall. As the gang fell apart, Arthur realized that social issues were more complex then he had ever thought and that these issues were beyond the gang’s ability to control. Perhaps most disturbing to Arthur was seeing how easily Dutch could influence younger, disenfranchised men such as Eagle Flies to commit acts of violence for him. Undoubtedly, this gave Arthur a new perspective on his own childhood and how Dutch had been taking advantage of him. With his faith in Dutch and the Van der Linde gang crushed, Arthur became more wise and sensitive to his own feelings, opening up to Rains Fall about traumatic experiences, including the death of his own son, Isaac. He also began caring about other people more than himself. In the end, Arthur’s last objectives were to protect John Marston’s family and to secure Dutch’s hidden money for them in order to hopefully build a better life for themselves, making all the suffering the gang had gone through worth something in the end. Unlike most people during the time period, Arthur is quite progressive in his views, but only because he's a misanthrope who believes most people are awful regardless. As of 1899, Arthur is 36, with a stocky build perfect for his position, and a head of thick, light brown almost blond, fair hair. Regardless of player choices, Arthur has blue/ green eyes. Arthur’s physical appearance can be influenced by the player. The player can choose his hair style, clothing and even cleanliness. Players must also take basic care of Arthur, which in turn influences his appearance. A healthy Arthur will retain his stocky appearance. Over-feeding him will lead to weight gain, giving him more health but limiting his stamina, while neglecting nutrition will thin Arthur out, negatively affecting his health but gaining him more stamina. After returning from Guarma, Arthur's health takes a turn for the worse as his Tuberculosis progresses. He looks more and more sickly; his eyes become watery and he develops eye bags, as a result of constant coughing.
