Deep, hidden things surface, and relationship roles will be revealed, perhaps quite differently than you've long assumed.
Getting this quickly posted--sorry for the noises breaking in!--but onto your week...! The universal numerology for this month is 15, and this week, we'll enjoy the date 7-8-15, or double 15s. I could go on about including the 2 from the whole year, to make a total of 32, or 5, the card of change, but short-form, that's a lot of 15s at play! Yes, this correlates to the tarot's Devil card. If you're watching this, you probably agree much more is represented in this stage of the Major Arcana than simplistic scare tactics, and that the bondage displayed is most often chosen and self-inflicted. You may have been materially stuck in some way, and this week's emotional revelations might break some chains to liberate what wasn't moving. All of the cards point to our potential bondage to an outmoded or erroneous idea about an important relationship, but that is about to change.
The Sun and Mars are heating up the homefront focus of domestic Cancer, and Venus and Jupiter in Leo, the 5th house emphasize taking childlike joy in things, but also seeing the world in beauty and love, with new eyes. Can you see your own past this way? This week's I Ching 37: The Family points to that as the subject matter for this learning along with the 4 of Rods, often a card of a some kind of homecoming. Home can mean the physical realities of where we dwell, but it can also mean our nearest and dearest, the past which forged us, and the bases of our emotional security. There is family of blood and family of choice, and whichever kind is in focus for you this week, you're called not to depend upon assumptions (like the rash Knight of Rods), but to let quieter, deeper feelings emerge and mysteries be solved. Somehow, subtly, this secret-sharing will occur and you'll be able to reassess your relationship and role within it very differently as a result.
You may need to hang on, and not respond too quickly, because this could be a shake-up to your long-held perceptions. When we're off-kilter, our first response may be related more to the feelng of disruption than to the new situation, so be willing to consider how you respond thoughtfully. Again this week, the immediacy of heartfelt compassion will triumph over calculation if you let it. The I Ching's hexagram number 37 (a prime number and of significance) reduces to 10, the end of a cycle. So this change that results from your new or corrected understanding marks a new stage for you. You'll be able to move forward in some valauble way because of who you now know yourself to be.
The magician's oracle card for the week is bold, in contrasting orange and green, seeming to pit the heart against the gut feelings, but the card's in reverse. So even though the coming message will be subtle, don't worry about needing to decipher it. All you have to do is trust your hunch about it when it comes. Despite this revelation coming in perhaps an unexpected way, you'll know it when you see it, and it will resonate strongly. You may even wonder, shocking as the notion might seem at first, why you never realized it before. Things drop into place, puzzle pieces fit, restoring a kind of inner harmony for you on an issue of long-standing discomfort or frustration. The 8 of Pentacles, in this deck the Sorcerer's Apprentice, shows how you're going to move positively forward, not just emotionally, but materially with your new understanding.
Here are simple examples: In a miscellaneous box your parents make you take as they're downsizing their home, you find an inherited cookbook written by a relative who you never knew. Its voice speaks to you, like a kindred spirit, echoing your own long-time passion for food, and you decide to return to culinary school after all or to start a blog to share these old recipes with the world. Another what if: There's someone who was once very close and who you feel left you behind. You never understood it and have always felt bad about yourself as its cause. This week, an underlying reason for their estrangement bubbles to the surface. In your compassion for their difficulties, which you never understood before, your own heart is healed of the pain in your memory. Now, in other close relationships, you no longer carry the fear from that old, inner wound of rejection. You are changed and so is your world and life from this point. These are only hypothetical ideas, of course, of the kinds of situations that fit these cards and energies, and you'll know how they fit your circumstances or do not.
But no matter what your age or status or formal education, this week offers you some kind of unexpected, and beautiful graduation.
