Some of the organizations were under the direction of the Confederate government, others operated independently with government approval, while still others were either completely independent of the government or operated with only its tacit acknowledgment. By 1864, the Confederate government was attempting to gain control over the various operations that had sprung up since the beginning of the war, but often with little success. Secret legislation was put before the Confederate Congress to create an official Special and Secret Bureau of the War Department. The legislation was not enacted until March 1865 and was never implemented; however, a number of groups and operations have historically been referred to as having been part of the Confederate Secret Service. In April 1865, most of the official papers of the Secret Service were burned by Confederate Secretary of State Judah P. Benjamin just before the Confederate government evacuated Richmond, although a few pages of a financial ledger remain. Thus, the full story of Confederate secret operations may never be known.

SIS is a member of the country's intelligence community and its Chief is accountable to the country's Foreign Secretary.Formed in 1909 as a section of the Secret Service Bureau specialising in foreign intelligence, the section experienced dramatic growth during World War I and officially adopted its current name around 1920. The name MI6 (meaning Military Intelligence, Section 6) originated as a flag of convenience during World War II, when SIS was known by many names; it is still commonly used today. The existence of SIS was not officially acknowledged until 1994. That year the Intelligence Services Act 1994 (ISA) was introduced to Parliament, to place the organisation on a statutory footing for the first time; it provides the legal basis for its operations. Today, SIS is subject to public oversight by the Investigatory Powers Tribunal and the Parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee. The stated priority roles of SIS are counter-terrorism, counter-proliferation, providing intelligence in support of cyber security, and supporting stability overseas to disrupt terrorism and other criminal activities. Unlike its main sister agencies, the Security Service (MI5) and Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), SIS works exclusively in foreign intelligence gathering; the ISA allows it to carry out operations only against persons outside the British Islands. Some of SIS's actions since the 2000s have attracted significant controversy, such as its alleged acts of torture and extraordinary rendition.Since 1995, SIS has been headquartered in the SIS Building in London, on the South Bank of the River Thames.

The Secret Service in the beginning had no part in protecting the President, but rather were tasked with cutting down on the amazing amount of counterfeit money circulated in the United States at the time (hence why until March of 2003 they were a branch of the U.S. Department of the Treasury). It is estimated that about 1/3 of the U.S. currency in circulation was counterfeit when Lincoln signed the piece of legislature that would establish the Secret Service. Conspiracy Theory: CIA 1967 Memo: CIA Wikipedia Mainstream Media Propaganda & Coverup #MandelaEffect

01:36:44
In this video I go over the very interesting topic, and that is dive into the topic of “conspiracy theories” and “conspiracy theorists” by taking a look at the CIA’s infamous 1967 declassified memo during the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Assassination Warren Commission investigation. The memo, which was first declassified through a 1976 Freedom of Information Access (FOIA) by the New York Times, reveals that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) underwent a secret psychological operation (PsyOp) through a coordinated propaganda campaign to discredit and ridicule critics of the Warren Commission report with hopes of quelling rising distrust of the government by the public. In my opinion this is very contradictory, which if the public knew of these secret PsyOp programs to spread deliberate propaganda and attack criticism of the government, then the public would be in an up-roar, as they should be! The CIA 1967 memo information and links to view it are shown below: Title: Countering Criticism of the Warren Report Document Number: 1035-960 Classification: PSYCH for Psychological Operation and CS for Clandestine Services Special Note: “Destroy When No Longer Needed” Document: http://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=53510 Document (PDF): http://tinyurl.com/cia1967memo Also interesting to note, while recording my initial attempt at this video yesterday, I fell victim to the dreaded #MandelaEffect!! This is because many websites, books, and videos mistakenly use the title “Concerning Criticism of the Warren Report” or even “Countering Criticism of the Warren Commission Report”, which are both wrong! I’m not sure if this as just an accidental mistake (and discovery by me) or could be just another part of CIA’s disinformation propaganda campaign haha 😉 Also in this video I go over the ramifications of the CIA 1967 memo, and show concrete evidence through Google’s “Ngram” viewer that suggest the CIA’s propaganda campaign to discredit conspiracy theories in regards to the JFK assassination, as well as conspiracy theorists in general, was in full effect in the 1960s. This fact has been brushed aside and covered up by many in the mainstream media, including even Wikipedia and the CIA itself. The document explains specific instructions to quell criticisms of government “official” narrative and institutions through using “friendly” elite politicians and people embedded in major news outlets by attacking the conspiracy theorists themselves, as opposed to their actual claims. Such instructions included suggesting that conspiracy theories are the result of “Communist Propagandists” and that “large scale conspiracies” are impossible. Both of these methods are still widely used today, although now those pesky “Russians” are to blame. I also go on a long rant about the “large scale conspiracies” argument because I was #Triggered! This is a very long, but extremely detailed look at the elaborate propaganda and disinformation strategy that the CIA, the mainstream media, and political elites uses on an almost daily basis still to this day, so make sure to watch this entire video! The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Secret Intelligence, later known as the Office of Security (SY) and now as the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service, was also known as U-1, an off-the-books adjunct to the Division of Information. The origins of the U.S. State Department's Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) goes back to 1916 with a handful of agents assigned special duties directly by the Secretary of State (SECSTATE), Robert Lansing. Lansing, who used MID and Department of the Treasury Secret Service agents to obtain secret information, longed for direct control over his own agents; therefore, in 1916 he created a Bureau of Secret Intelligence.President Wilson allowed Lansing and Frank Polk quietly and informally to channel the flow of military and law enforcement material into the State Department's Bureau of Secret Intelligence (U-1). The two men picked a young clerk named Leland Harrison "to take charge of the collection and examination of all information of a secret nature coming into the Department from various sources and also to direct the work of the agents specially employed for that purpose." Lansing moved to create this inter-agency "secret service" for the Department of State. Many German and Austrian acts of fraud, propaganda, sabotage, and espionage cut across or fell between the jurisdictions of various U.S. law enforcement agencies. Secretary of the Treasury William McAdoo admitted that the Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Post Office Inspection Service were often "crossing wires with [one] another in running down crimes and conducting investigations" of espionage, fraud, and sabotage. To rectify this, Lansing proposed creating an office under the Department of State’s Office of the Counselor to review investigation reports from several law enforcement agencies. In proposing this to President Wilson, Lansing contended that given the serious diplomatic consequences involved with both the act and the investigation, the Department of State should oversee the response and actions of other agencies. Lansing envisioned the proposed office to be a clearinghouse of information, and he hoped that the Departments of Justice and Treasury, and the Postal Service would detail agents to this Bureau of Secret Intelligence to gather information on belligerent activity in the United States. As Robert Lansing recalled in his memoirs, "The 'Secret Service' of the Department of State was an organization of slow growth during the period when this country was neutral. Prior to that time the Department had no 'Secret Service'. It was found necessary for the Department to conduct some investigations of highly confidential character and for this purpose a few operatives of other departments were detailed to it. Agents were also employed in the other countries.Headed by a Chief Special Agent, who was also called Special Assistant to the Secretary, these agents worked in Washington, D.C., and New York City. This group of agents would sometimes be referred to as the office of the Chief Special Agent. They were operated with private funds from the Secretary's office. Conducting sensitive investigations, they focused mainly on foreign agents and their activities in the United States. Leland Harrison and William YaleThe thirty-four-year-old [Leland] Harrison enjoyed a similar Yankee blueblood background to [William] Yale’s. After being educated at Eton and Harvard, he’d joined the U.S. diplomatic corps and held a succession of posts at some of the most important American overseas missions. His swift rise had been cemented when Secretary of Sta ...

Expand this for the Lyrics. © Secret Service :) I thought this video really deserves more presence here... I really do identify this amazing song with Stockholm (where the video was shot), there is something in this video which manages to truly capture the city's unique atmosphere. I can tell well, I come from the other side of Europe, I visit frequently but I recall well how it hit me the first time, magical!! Well a special hello to all of you from Sweden & Poland, thank you for visiting :) As a break of dawn came closer AII my hopes seemed so forlorn. The misty signs of laughter And the light eluded all. My despair was caught in motion A face just barely true - Shadows in blue. A flash in the night . . . In the changing of the season Releasing one lost name. The scar once healed forever Dissolving in the rain. A twig snapped in the clearing A glimpse of golden skin My face within My despair was caught in motion. A face just barely true - Shadows in blue. The IIS was primarily concerned with international intelligence collection and analysis but also performed many activities inside Iraq. The most important section of the IIS was Directorate 4 – the Secret Service. One of the well known Directors was Rafi' Dahham Mejwel Al-Tikriti (Arabic: رافع دحام مجول التكريتي‎) the former Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey and the last Chief of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. 10 Nefarious Secret Police Forces Throughout History

18:56
Secret police forces have existed since time immemorial, from the Frumentarii of Ancient Rome to the mass digital surveillance of today. And while they’re more commonly associated with some of the most nefarious dictatorships on the planet, these unaccountable, state-funded heavies with a license to snoop have become increasingly and unnervingly banal—perhaps even cynically expected—all over the world. →Subscribe for new videos every day! https://www.youtube.com/user/toptenznet?sub_confirmation=1 Find more lists at: http://www.toptenz.net Entertaining and educational top 10 lists from TopTenzNet! The Definitive History of the Secret Service: Uncovering Startling Facts on the Agency (2002)

59:19
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is a federal law enforcement agency under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Until 2003, the Service was part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0786716177/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0786716177&linkCode=as2&tag=tra0c7-20&linkId=93201a2cc21489d4a211862cedcf0ba7 The U.S. Secret Service has two distinct areas of responsibility: Financial Crimes, covering missions such as prevention and investigation of counterfeit U.S. currency, U.S. treasury securities, and investigation of major fraud. Protection, which entails ensuring the safety of current and former national leaders and their families, such as the President, past Presidents, Vice Presidents, presidential candidates, visiting heads of state, and foreign embassies. The Secret Service's initial responsibility was to investigate counterfeiting of U.S. currency, which was rampant following the U.S. Civil War. The agency then evolved into the United States' first domestic intelligence and counterintelligence agency. Many of the agency's missions were later taken over by subsequent agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Secret_Service Philip H. Melanson (1944 – September 18, 2006) was a Chancellor Professor of Policy Studies at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He served as coordinator of the Robert F. The BND headquarters is located in central Berlin and is the world's largest intelligence headquarters. The BND has 300 locations in Germany and foreign countries. In 2016, it employed around 6,500 people, 10% of them Bundeswehr soldiers, who are employed by Amt für Militärkunde (Office for Military Sciences). The budget of the BND for 2018 is € 925,445,000. The BND was founded during the Cold War in 1956 as the official foreign intelligence agency of West Germany, which had recently joined NATO. It was the successor to the earlier Gehlen Organization, often known simply as "The Organization" or "The Org.", whose existence had not been officially acknowledged. The most central figure in the BND's history was Reinhard Gehlen, the leader of the Gehlen Organization and later the founding president of the BND, who was regarded as "one of the most legendary Cold War spymasters." From the early days of the Cold War the Gehlen Organization and later the BND had an intimate cooperation with the CIA, and often was the western intelligence community's only eyes and ears on the ground in the eastern bloc. The BND was also regarded as one of the best informed intelligence services in regards to the Middle East from the 1960s. Both Russia and the Middle East remain important focuses of the BND's activities, in addition to violent non-state actors. The BND today acts as an early warning system to alert the German government to threats to German interests from abroad. It depends heavily on wiretapping and electronic surveillance of international communications. It collects and evaluates information on a variety of areas such as international non-state terrorism, weapons of mass destruction proliferation and illegal transfer of technology, organized crime, weapons and drug trafficking, money laundering, illegal migration and information warfare. As Germany's only overseas intelligence service, the BND gathers both military and civil intelligence. While the Strategic Reconnaissance Command (KSA) of the Bundeswehr also fulfills this mission, it is not an intelligence service. There is close cooperation between the BND and the KSA. The domestic secret service counterparts of the BND are the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz, or BfV) and 16 counterparts at the state level Landesämter für Verfassungsschutz (State Offices for the Protection of the Constitution); there is also a separate military intelligence organisation, the Militärischer Abschirmdienst (MAD, Military Counterintelligence Service).

Whether they accept that protection or not, once elected until the day they die (unless they opt out after leaving office), they will be shadowed by an elite team of Secret Service agents. These individuals, while not actually sworn to do so (contrary to popular belief), are generally expected to, if necessary, give their lives to keep the president safe. While in office, this protection extends to a president’s immediate family. But does this ever include their family pet? Technically no. President Reagan's #1 Secret Service Agent Robert DeProspero

05:18
Tribute to legendary Secret Service Agent Robert DeProspero, music by Chris Lindstrom. http://robertdeprospero.blogspot.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_DeProspero http://alumni.wvu.edu/awards/academy/robert_deprospero ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Robert Lee DeProspero was a respected United States Secret Service agent, serving from 1965 to 1986 He is notable for serving on the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) during a large part of the Reagan administration, and for heading that division towards the end of his tenure. DeProspero attended West Virginia University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in physical education in 1959 and a master's degree in education in 1960. DeProspero devised several very important and innovative security measures during his time in the Secret Service that are used today: the "hospital agent" (stationing an agent at the nearest primary trauma hospital on a presidential movement), as well as the creation of metal detector checkpoints to screen every individual who could get a view of the president --- Robert L. DeProspero ('59 BS, 61 MA) Robert L. DeProspero graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1959 and a master's degree in education in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-63 then went on to teach biological sciences and coach football and wrestling at Madison High School in Vienna, Va. DeProspero joined the U.S. Secret Service in 1965 and was first assigned as a special agent in the Washington Field Office with subsequent assignments in the White House Detail and the Protective Support Division. In 1973, he was promoted to assistant to the special agent in charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division. As he moved up the ranks in the Secret Service from 1975-82, he held many positions including assistant special agent in charge of the Washington Field Office, inspector in the Office of Inspection and deputy special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division. DeProspero took charge of the presidential detail in 1981 just months after the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan and was appointed special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division in 1982. During his tenure in that role, he was responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the protection of the President of the United States and members of his family at all times and under all conditions. DeProspero was also responsible for providing protection during one of the Secret Service's largest and most complex security operations—the 1984 Presidential Campaign. He accompanied President Reagan on some of 500 domestic trips and 60 visits to foreign nations. As a result of his numerous achievements, DeProspero was appointed assistant to the director in the Office of Training. In this capacity, he oversaw the training for Secret Service personnel in the Uniformed Division, the Special Agent Branch and the Treasury Protection Unit as well as all administrative and specialized units. He directed the administration of hundreds of courses and a $20 million expansion of the physical training facility. DeProspero retired from the Secret Service in March of 1986. During his 20 years with the Secret Service, he made many significant and innovative improvements regarding protective measures. He spent more time than any other agent protecting officials including Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson, Nelson Rockefeller, Edmund Muskie, Spiro Agnew, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Among his many awards are: U.S. Treasury Department Albert Gallatin Award, Special Recognition for the Establishment of the Presidential Trauma Protocol and Special Recognition for Improved Protective Security Measures. He was named the Outstanding West Virginia Italian-American in 1985 and was inducted into the WVU School of Physical Education Hall of Fame in 1992. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Robert-DeProspero/133059313396328 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_DeProspero http://robertdeprospero.blogspot.com/

Russian Secret Service Pigeon SALUTES Vladimir Putin

00:17
http://NighSide.com/ - Politics, News, Features, Opinion, Humor, Current Affairs & Social Commentary ------------------------------------------------------------------ Pigeons have long played an important role in war. Due to their homing ability, speed, and altitude, they were often used as military messengers. Carrier pigeons of the Racing Homer breed were used to carry messages in World War I and World War II, and 32 such pigeons were presented with the Dickin Medal During the First and Second World Wars, carrier pigeons were used to transport messages back to their home coop behind the lines. When they landed, wires in the coop would sound a bell or buzzer and a soldier of the Signal Corps would know a message had arrived. He would go to the coop, remove the message from the canister, and send it to its destination by telegraph, field phone, or personal messenger. A carrier pigeon's job was dangerous. Nearby enemy soldiers often tried to shoot down pigeons, knowing that released birds were carrying important messages. Some of these pigeons became quite famous among the infantrymen they worked for. One pigeon, named "The Mocker," flew 52 missions before he was wounded. Another, named "Cher Ami," lost her foot and one eye, but her message got through, saving a large group of surrounded American infantrymen During World War II, the United Kingdom used about 250,000 homing pigeons for many purposes, including communicating with those behind enemy lines such as Belgium spy Jozef Raskin. The Dickin Medal, the highest possible decoration for valor given to animals, was awarded to 32 pigeons, including the United States Army Pigeon Service's G.I. Joe and the Irish pigeon Paddy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_pigeon

It is tasked to collect actionable intelligence in advance of missions by other US special operations forces, especially 1st SFOD-D and DEVGRU in counter-terrorist operations. USAISA was the official name of the unit from 1981 to 1989; previously it was known as the Field Operations Group (FOG), created in September 1980. In 1989, the then USAISA commander sent a telex "terminating" the USAISA term and his special access program Grantor Shadow, but the unit continued under a series of different Top Secret codenames which are changed every two years. Known codenames included Centra Spike, Torn Victor, Quiet Enable, Cemetery Wind, and Gray Fox.

The Mossad (Hebrew: הַמוֹסָד‎, IPA: [ha moˈsad]; Arabic: الموساد‎, al-Mōsād; literally meaning "the Institute"), short for HaMossad leModiʿin uleTafkidim Meyuḥadim About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0395471028/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0395471028&linkCode=as2&tag=tra0c7-20&linkId=46c5c997b69f7b4829121ada9836a79d (Hebrew: המוסד למודיעין ולתפקידים מיוחדים‎, meaning "Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations"; Arabic: الموساد للاستخبارات والمهام الخاصة‎ al-Mōsād lil-Istikhbārāt wal-Mahāmm al-Khāṣṣah), is the national intelligence agency of Israel. It is one of the main entities in the Israeli Intelligence Community, along with Aman (military intelligence) and Shin Bet (internal security). The Mossad is responsible for intelligence collection, covert operations, and counterterrorism, as well as bringing Jews to Israel from countries where official Aliyah agencies are forbidden, and protecting Jewish communities. Its director reports directly to the Prime Minister. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_intelligence The Directorate of Military Intelligence (Hebrew: אגף המודיעין‎, Agaf HaModi'in -- lit. "the Intelligence Section", often abbreviated to Aman) is the central, overarching military intelligence body of the Israel Defense Forces. Aman was created in 1950, when the Intelligence Department was spun off from the IDF's General Staff (then, Agam: אג"ם); the Intelligence Department itself was composed largely of former members of the Haganah Intelligence Service (HIS). Aman is an independent service, and not part of the ground forces, navy or the Israeli Air Force. It is one of the main entities in the Israeli Intelligence Community, along with Mossad (national intelligence) and Shin Bet (general security). It is currently headed by Major General Aviv Kochavi. It has a staff of 7,000 personnel (1996 estimate). Its special forces and field-reconnaissance unit is Sayeret Matkal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_Intelligence_Directorate_(Israel) Sherut haBitachon haKlali (Hebrew: שירות הביטחון הכללי‎, General Security Service), better known by the acronym Shabak (Hebrew: שב״כ‎, IPA: [ʃaˈbak], Arabic: شاباك‎), in English as the Israel Security Agency (ISA) or the Shin Bet (a two-letter Hebrew abbreviation of the name), is Israel's internal security service. Its motto is "Magen VeLo Yera'e" (Hebrew: מגן ולא יראה‎, lit. "Defender that shall not be seen" or "The unseen shield"). It is one of three principal organizations of the Israeli Intelligence Community, alongside Aman (military intelligence) and the Mossad (foreign intelligence service). Shin Bet's special operations unit is Yamas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin_Bet Image By Israel Defense Forces from Israel (Female Soldiers Unload their Weapons) [CC-BY-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Louis Armstrong - We Have All The Time In The World

03:15
Song: We Have All The Time In The World Artist: Louis Armstrong Writer(s): Hal David, John Barry Genre: Jazz Album: Her Majesty's Secret Service - Soundtrack Released: 1969, 1994 (Re-released) Producer: Phil Ramone ''We Have All the Time in the World'' is a James Bond theme and popular song sung by Louis Armstrong. Its music was composed by John Barry and the lyrics by Hal David. It is a secondary musical theme in 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, the title theme being the instrumental "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," also composed by Barry. The song title, "We Have All the Time in the World", is taken from James Bond's final words in both the novel and the film. Louis Armstrong was too ill to play his trumpet. Barry chose Armstrong because he felt he could "deliver the title line with irony." When asked for his favourite Bond composition, John Barry cited both "We Have All..." and "Goldfinger". "Goldfinger" because it perfected the "Bond Sound", and "We Have All..." because it was the finest piece of music he had written for a Bond movie and because of the pleasure of working with Louis Armstrong. How much time do we have? :-) Lyrics: We have all, the time in the world Time enough for life, to unfold All the precious things Love has in store We have all the love in the world If that's all we have, you will find We need nothing more Every step of the way Will find us With the cares of the world Far behind us We have all the time in the world Just for love Nothing more, nothing less, only love... Every step of the way Will find us With the cares of the world Far behind us, yes... We have all the time in the world Just for love, nothing more, nothing less, only love... Only love...

As one of the principal members of the Pakistani intelligence community, the ISI reports to the Director-General and is primarily focused on providing intelligence for the Government of Pakistan. The ISI consists primarily of serving military officers drawn on secondment from the three service branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, and Navy) and hence the name "Inter-Services". However, the agency also recruits many civilians. Since 1971, the ISI has been headed by a serving three-star general of the Pakistan Army, who is appointed by the Prime Minister on recommendation of the Chief of Army Staff, who recommends three officers for the job. The ISI is currently headed by Lieutenant-General Asim Munir who was appointed Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence on 1 October 2018. The Director-General reports directly to both the Prime Minister and the Army Chief. The ISI gained global recognition and fame in the 1980s when it supported the Afghan Mujahideen against the Soviet Union during the Soviet–Afghan War in then Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. During the war, the ISI worked in close coordination with the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States to train and fund the Mujahideen with American, Pakistani, and Saudi funds. After fall of the Soviet Union, the ISI provided strategic support and intelligence to the Afghan Taliban and the 055 Brigade of Al-Qaeda against the Northern Alliance during the Afghan Civil War in the 1990's.
