Fragrances First Impressions / Unboxing | Jimmy Choo Man Intense

249 ratings | 15361 views
In this First Impressions / Unboxing Video, I share my reaction to a new popular scent by Jimmy Choo called Man Intense. It was released in 2016 and is a rival scent to Dior Sauvage, Mr Burberry, Bleu De Chanel and it's original brother Jimmy Choo Man. It's made to attract people and many consider it a compliment getter. I look forward to sharing my full review of it coming soon. Thank you for watching. Like, Subscribe and Comment below and also... I love the sprayers on these too! It’s such a yummy perfume 😋
Emma Lay (8 months ago)
I'm a girl and I wear this. 😍
It's Kyuu (8 months ago)
Thanks E! One of the only reviewers who have put this one on their channel. Is it redundant to own this if you already own dylan blue and savauge and luna rossa carbon?
DaveSpeedMusic (8 months ago)
I think it is. Sauvage and Luna Rossa Carbon are so close already. This is nice but it does fall in the same lane, and it looks like you already have a few in that lane :-)
LuTia Jones (10 months ago)
Just got my bottle today. Man this is off the chain. The sprayer is absolutely wonderful. One of the best ive used. And the first true intense flanker that truly stood true to its claim intense since the original dior homme intense. This stuff is strong. Love it. Thanks bro for the review
michael pitbull (2 months ago)
LuTia Jones yeah the sprayer is definitely like a fire hose ! Awesome and beautiful scent too

This is a great scent! I will actually will be buying a couple backups of this.
avgrim77 (1 year ago)
I just got a sample from Nordstrom and it smelled very familiar to me but I couldn't put my finger on it. When I got home I figured it out. It smells very similar to PR Invictus to me I swear. I also sampled Azzaro Wanted and same thing smells just like Paco Rabanne Invictus. I'm not kidding. Even though the notes aren't even close is it just me?
Jim Wanji (2 months ago)
i felt the same too
Gerard Barnes (5 months ago)
I have to agree. It’s pretty much identical to Invictus. Smells great though. I like both & don’t mind having two fragrances that smell like this. Good juice!
Tyler Gerard (8 months ago)
avgrim77 Smells very similar to invictus to me!
avgrim77 (1 year ago)
+Simply Put Scents No problem bro! It's more the dry down that smells like Invictus and since last night I've read comments from a couple viewers on other videos who said the same thing. Kinda strange how everyone has their own interpretation.
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
that is an interesting comparison...I never considered it before...Wanted for sure smells like Invictus tho. But Jimmy Choo Intense and Invictus...I need to check that out...thanks for the comment brother...
Sully Mems (1 year ago)
I wore this to a dance club in the Czech Republic and got no less than 10 compliments in one night. It works really well if you wear it in the right scenarios and over-spray it a bit lol
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I agree with you brother...It's strange when people talk about all these new scents while this still gets very little discussion...I find it very very nice...
Alfre P. (1 year ago)
I watched this video couple of times and I finally decided to get this fragrance. Bro, I really like it. Thank you for a great review!
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
That's good to know bro...I'm glad i didn't steer your wrong...It's still not talked about but it's not a bad smelling scent by any means...
Akash Nayee (1 year ago)
Great video. I was wondering can I wear it on the spring/summer weather type? thanks😊
Akash Nayee (1 year ago)

gotbricks ye (1 year ago)
Akash Nayee yes it's all year around in my opinion

You know whats weird about the first jimmy choo? Alot of people says it had poor performance which does not shock me BUT for me it has done great and thats really weird because my body chemistry does not like to project most fragrances. Check out my video about it!

This is a Panty Dropper! Sex in a Bottle! The Hell with EBay, discount internet joints and little test samplers! I went to Macy's smelled this Beast and broke out the Plastic right there!! Boom! B ring me up! ( I didn't say that!) My search is over Gentleman! It's been fun and expensive but I'm done! This is my Juice from now on! Smell u Later! 👍🏽😀
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I agree ernie...it's the best Jimmy CHoo for men imo...Very easy to wear and like...Thanks for sharing your opinion...
Joseph Tribie (1 year ago)
So...how was the longevity? Did you still smell it after some time or is it the same as older brother?
Joseph Tribie (1 year ago)
Never tried it....will do that for sure! Happy new year bro!
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
Thanks brother...Happy New Year...
ChestyMD (1 year ago)
yep they all smell similar
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
agreed...Thanks for watching Sam...
Jeff William (1 year ago)
great review! I couldn't agree more with you about the first release from Choo, Man. I may like it on my skin a little bit more that you did though. i really look forward to trying Intense.
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I thought the original smelled nice just didn't last on me...Ur a lucky man if it works well on your skin...I'm jealous actually...lol
7_0_Sav (1 year ago)
I really liked Jimmy Choo Man when I smelled it. I actually though it may be better than BDC. I have not smelled the "Intense" version of JCM though. I'm told the original is better. I'm actually dead set on picking up Jimmy Choo Man just not sure on which one. Also gonna pick up Chanel Allure Homme Sport and Kenneth Cole Mankind. I need some "Generic" fragrances in my collection that are easy to wear.
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I'd say the intense version of Jimmy Choo is the better option because the original was a skin scent as soon as you left the store...lol...ANd i get u brother...Sometimes an easy to wear scent is a great option even if they are not the best composed scent in the world. They have a place for sure.
Rob Alvarez (1 year ago)
Finally someone did a video on this THANK YOU! I have had this scent for a couple of months now and I love this juice and it has become one of my most complimented fragrances. I was not crazy about Jimmy Choo man because the performance was literally non-existent but this stuff has good protection and longevity on me.
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I agree with you Rob...This scent is so under the radar and yet so good for what it is...I get a lot of love when I wear it also...I guess they needed Johnny Depp...lmao...
Phillip Wagner Jr. (2 years ago)
did it hold up. I almost got it this weekend but went with Bleu De Chanel parfum
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
It lasted for about 6-7 hours...A huge upgrade to the original on me...
Phillip Wagner Jr. (2 years ago)
what's the longevity
Phillip Wagner Jr. (2 years ago)
+Simply Put Scents thanks brother will cop
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
so far between 6-7 hours
Phillip Wagner Jr. (2 years ago)
yes the first one didn't last

thats an understatement...lol

Great video sir. I honestly love the funny relaxed video of your video. But have to tell me the name of the song playing in the background. Now for the Jimmy Choo Man I get around 4 hours, 6 on the right day. But I moisturize with Vaseline and I spray that one in two layers. I spray the first one on and then I wait for about 30 seconds before I spray the second one on. Try that and let me know that works for you. I also love the atomizer creates that mist to cover a lot of area.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
That Atomizer is BOSS...thanks for the tip and compliment...I'll be trying that because to get 6 hours out of the original is crazyyyyyyyyy...lol...Thats about 4:30 hours longer than me...lol...The music is part of a song I made on Fruityloops...
Guinea54 (2 years ago)
great review again.. damn sucky performance strikes again!! I immediately lose interest when I hear the performance sucks.. Damn shame.
Guinea54 (2 years ago)
no not bad at all.. coool
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
for sure...This newer intense version actually is doing 6-7 hours every time which isn't bad for the type of scent it is...
Guinea54 (2 years ago)
got cut off can't edit comments.. uh.. youtube is broken. I hope this doesn't suck in performance as well. I really enjoy lavender in frags..
George U (2 years ago)

Sup E? I haven't smelled the intense but I find the the regular version smells like Nautica Life. Jimmy being a bit more musky.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
interesting...I've never smelled that...thanks for sharing that comment. Let me know what u think of the intense version if u ever get around to smellin it Juan...Thanks for your comment and for watching...
GluedTechDude (2 years ago)
Ok, just applied a generous amount of the small sample bottle of original Jimmy Choo I got from Fragnet. Sure seems to be a lot of these types of frags being hyped/talked about lately. Has that indistinguishable dryer-sheet/fabric softener smell of many popular frags, new and old. Not much of a fan of that smell myself, which seems pretty nice and "fresh" at first, but becomes a smell that gets annoying and cloying very quickly. The smell is akin to getting a dryer sheet (fabric softener sheet for use in the dryer) and rubbing it all over yourself, maybe even stuffing the sheet in your nose. The smell gets sickening the more you sniff it's concentrated ultra-synthetic scent over time. Here is my list of frags I have smelled that have the same scent profile: Invictus Mont Blanc: Individual 1 Million Abercrombie and Fitch: Fierce Mont Blanc: Legend (clone of A&F: Fierce) Invictus Aqua (much less than the OG Invictus, but still present) and now... Jimmy Choo (and likely all of it's flankers) If you like the overly synthetic dryer-sheet fabric softener smell in your frags, then the above frags are a dream come true for you. Otherwise, avoid, avoid, avoid!!! However I will give a little bit of credit to the OG Jmmy Choo, as it's focus is a bit more on the fruity elements rather than the raw uber potent synthetically sweet pure dyer sheet elements like Invictus, 1 million or Individual. But it is only slightly less dryer-sheet than A&F:Fierce, and still has that exact same scent profile that just gets sickening the more you smell it. It's great at first, don't get me wrong, which is probably why the above frags are such compliment magnets. But my goodness, it's a living hell of cloying synthetics for the wearer.

+Simply Put Scents  Appreciate the replies E!  I often write these monstrous comments never really knowing if they ever get seen/read, but it is nice sometimes to just let loose and comment away!  Always puts a smile on my face reading replies from the uploader though. And I agree with you on the synthetic part, I am not adverse to synthetic scents, as Nautica Voyage was my ultimate favorite for the longest time, despite the fragrance community at large hating on it for it's synthetic nature (women sure love it though!).   Which seems to be about the same for most of the modern 'synthetic' scents, is that for whatever reason women absolutely go crazy for them.   Not sure why exactly, but scents like Invictus/1 Million (the most synthetic I have ever smelled) are up there with the most complimented mens frags of all time... probably worldwide. The science behind these scents is truly fascinating, and I am even experimenting with pure ISO E Super with surprisingly good results.  It is without a doubt the "MSG" of the fragrance world, as it has this strange ability to add balance and depth to a frag, without actually changing it's core smell.  It's quite interesting and fun to play around with.  I'm just glad I can smell the stuff, as some people cannot smell IES at all due to having Anosmia to the note.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
I really don't get the fabric softener thing with the original or this...I find it way more close to Bleu De, Mr Burberry, Sauvage, Kelsey Berwin Zeus ect...It's a fruitier scent than fabric softener smells imo...Many times fabric softener scents have a powderiness to them...I can see the invictus Aqua comparison for sure...But U are right, most of the Modern Day Generics are very synthetic....but sometimes synthetic can be very pleasant...

Your description of the original Jimmy Choo reminds me a lot of my experience with A*men Pure Energy, which is such a great (albeit 'generic' and non-complex) smell, but literally completely disappears in an hour or less (for me at least). So far I haven't come across a mens cologne that fades into nothing so quickly, usually there is some residual smell from the base-notes that lingers on for at least a few hours, but Pure Energy seems to have absolutely no deep base-notes, and seems to be all top-notes in regards to longevity... which is not exactly bad depending on it's intended use, but man, I wish there was a more long-lasting version of it that smells the same but actually lasts a decent amount of time. Because it is such a pleasant fresh and clean smell that is quite unique to me. I've already burned through half a 3.4oz bottle in just a few weeks because I spray so much on so frequently (mostly just for me to enjoy at home, I even love going to sleep with it freshly sprayed on). This kind of heavy use for me is just insane! Even some of my most favorite frags that I use 1-4 times a week for work in small 2oz bottles or smaller, will easily last me several years. But I'm already nearing reorder time with a full-sized bottle of pure energy! It's been a VERY long time since I have actually burned through a whole bottle of cologne, in fact the only other frag I have completely burned through (several times) and needed to re-order, was Nautica Voyage (pre-reformulation version). Sadly the current formulation sucks and I barely even touch the stuff anymore. Damn EU regulations on ingredients is killing so many frags! Kinda wish these houses would outsource production to countries that don't have the same lame laws as the EU so they could keep their original formulations going strong. So at the very least they could ship the original formulas to countries that don't ban all the best ingredients (those living in the EU would still get screwed out of a good non-reformulated scent, but at least not all of us would, like it is now). Come on France, Frexit already! Get out of the over-regulated hell that the EU has you under! Oh yeah... this video is about Jimmy Choo... sorry, just felt the need to write about my experience with another frag. I got a small mini-bottle of the original from Fragrancenet to sample, but haven't actually tested it out yet. Will try it out after the scent of PE completely dies off in a few minuets and then possibly consider the Intense version if I like it.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Nah brother, I really appreciate u sharing that...Ur experiences are just as valid as mine to me...I don't think Pure Energy is non complex or generic at all...I actually think it's an amazing accomplishment in warm weather fragrances...It's not the most amazing smelling scent...but to make a fresh warm weather fragrance without any citrus notes at all is a very nice accomplishment and very unique...It is one of the Weaker Mulgers tho. On me it's a 4 hour scent. I have to decant it when i wear it. But lol on Frexit...lmao...one can only hope...
I don't mind wearing crowd pleasers, not one bit. Tried this, dug it too :)

I love this it’s such a beautiful scent!

This smokes Sauvage, Bleu, & Sport Extreme like a Philly Blunt!!! I can't go anywhere without getting tons of compliments from this *BAD-BOY* of a cologne!!!! This is heavy in my winter rotation fragrances!!!
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
it's very nice right? And what i really love is most guys won't consider it...It won't be nearly as popular as Sauvage or Bleu De, so u'll stand out a little more...
dachucktaylor1 (2 years ago)
I need to get my nose on this one. I know the original one was a weak clone of bleu chanel. Whats your thoughts on dylan blue by versace Emitsu?
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
I will be sharing that soon...So far tho im like "eh"...lol
bashholt (2 years ago)
Did you pick up a heavy plum......Like the plum that I've only saw in Bond. Bond B9
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Nah i didn't get much of a plum note...The fruit in this scent that dominates is Melon...I also don't get much plum from b9 when i've smelled it...If u ever get a chance smell Decadence by Marc Jacobs...It's a woman's scent but that scent is a plum bomb...U'll notice the difference in this scent after u smell it. Thanks for your comment brother...
FragCentral (2 years ago)
Yes would love to hear further input if this one actually lasts or not. It would be a good option if it performed better.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
its a far better option than the original...that's for sure...This lasts slightly longer on my skin than current versions of Bleu De Chanel
270Crunchy (2 years ago)
Like the review, but bruh you look like you should be in Coolie High.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
I liked the original jimmy! not all frags need to be complex to get the job done... one of my most compliment getters is only the brave tattoo!! go figure lol. frustrates me when you spend lots of bucks on the high end frags and bog standard ones shine brighter lol. Nice review though E
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Agreed...Sometimes I like an easy to wear scent more...But then again I love to challenge noses in a good way...lol...U stand out more...
Scent Snob (2 years ago)
Hey man...if you get the chance...DUA reviews. We have similar tastes, haven't tried it yet, want to know what you think. Specifically the Mobster ones (I think there's two now) and any others. Whenever ya can, no rush. P.S. Know where I can get a Spice Bomb Extreme decant? Dying to try it, can't find it anywhere.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
I will be doing a review on both Mobster scents very soon...It will be a collab video...Hit me up on facebook...Emitsu Geez...I'll let u know...

Jay Dee (2 years ago)
Tested this last weekend. Didn't really appeal to me, it was very sweet to my nose. Kind of reminded me of the original Joop. Thanks for the review looking foward to your fall lineup bro.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
They aren't that close to my nose but I can get what you are saying...They both have a Tonka, Patchouli Base with a floral heavy mid...Interesting comparison...I think Choo Intense is a lot more fresh tho...But I can see a loose comparison during the drydown. Interesting brother...Nice nose...
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Is this scent a complex, groundbreaking creation? No...But not every scent has to be. Especially when they are as easy to like, easy to wear and pleasant as Jimmy Choo Intense Man. The modern day generic phase of the fragrance industry is still strong for sure. I don't know if that's a horrible thing. What do you think of Jimmy Choo scents?
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
I'd recommend buying this if you want an easy to wear scent u could wear in any occasion year round...But if you can get a sample I'd suggest testing it on ur skin before buying...
Derrick J (1 year ago)
Simply Put Scents is it worth buying b4 they reformulate it?
Simply Put Scents (1 year ago)
+Shyam Doshi The designer market is saturated and whatever you can do to stand out you do...I'm not sure if perfume brands are involved with how retailers sell their products. Creating the extras like Umbrellas, bags ect is a great incentive when during holidays when fragrances are sold the most. But I can see how u could see it that way. I don't know if it's about confidence it's more about making purchasing their products a no brainer for customers...after all, there is a lot of competition in these stores with designer fragrances...
Shyam Doshi (2 years ago)
+Simply Put Scents I'm not sure how it works but why would they push certain brands as opposed to others? For example a prominent shop where I am pushes Jimmy Choo, Bvlgari, Cartier Pasha and Issey Miyake. If you want to smell others they don't bother giving much care. Also alot of brands offer various duffels and gift sets to give a better deal. Can you imagine Creed giving free gifts for their fragrances. Almost like they aren't confident of their product.

nice review. have one question. where did u get your shirt?

It was more of a fun first impressions video. I will be doing a full review soon...But thanks for the compliment and I bought the linen shirt from Ralph Lauren a while back...

Oh E ! Love you review style so much. Would love to see more videos from you, love your taste. How about YOUR personal top 10 FALL list soon? take care man, enjoy the weekend!
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Grateful for that Jean...I am editing a fall list for scents under $35 as I type...lol...And thank you, I wish the best weekend for u as well...
Chris Keilar (2 years ago)
I almost bought the first one but the performance was crap. Good thing I tested it before I bought it. Keep up those entertaining videos E.
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
Same here...And ur a smart man...Thank u for the support.
XY ZW (2 years ago)
i have the same thoughts on the original. Not to mention I have a body wash that smells just like it. Total sexy club scent, but i don't knoow.. I'll smell this one too by some kohl's article like the first one. Don't even have to go anywhere
Simply Put Scents (2 years ago)
It's not strong enough for me for the club...Jimmy Choo Man was a scent I liked but never bought because it frustrated me. It does receive great reactions for the minutes people can smell it but I went through at least 7 samples of it within a week...It's only strong enough for a cool summer day...lol...Thanks for sharing your comment.
